Henrik Lundqvist came out on top in a duel of goalies, stopping 34 shots through overtime and four of five in a shootout in the Rangers' 1-0 win over Ryan Miller and the Sabres Wednesday. Ryan Callahan scored the decisive goal by driving in on Miller, faking right and snapping a shot in the open left side as the Eastern Conference-leading Rangers bounced back from a 4-3 shootout loss against the Devils a day earlier. Marian Gaborik was the only other Rangers player to beat Miller, doing it in the first round of the shootout. Miller stopped 29 shots in regulation in a game in which both goalies were credited with shutouts. It was the 24th shutout of Miller's career, although he was denied an opportunity to set the Sabres' franchise record for victories. Miller is stuck on 234 wins, tied with Dominik Hasek. Lundqvist earned his sixth shutout of the season and third in five starts, a stretch in which he has allowed only five goals. The shutout was the 41st of Lundqvist's career, which moves him into second on the team's career list – one ahead of Dave Kerr and eight behind Ed Giacomin. Except for allowing Jason Pominville's goal, Lundqvist was unbeatable. Panthers 4, Capitals 2: Mikael Samuelsson had two goals and host Florida beat Washington. Stephen Weiss and Shawn Matthias also scored for Florida, and Scott Clemmensen stopped 26 shots. Tomas Fleischmann had a pair of assists for the Panthers, who moved into first place in the Southeast Division – a point ahead of Washington. Brooks Laich and John Carlson scored for the Capitals, and Michal Neuvirth had 35 saves. Maple Leafs 1, Penguins 0: James Reimer stopped all 25 shots he faced and Clarke MacArthur scored in the third period to lift host Toronto over Pittsburgh. The win gave the Maple Leafs a split of a home-and-home set with Pittsburgh one night after the Penguins erased a 4-1 deficit in the third period before pulling out a 5-4 shootout win. Another overtime looked likely until MacArthur took a pass from Mikhail Grabovski and deked around Brent Johnson with 6:05 to go in regulation. Other results: Dallas 6, Anaheim 2; Los Angeles 3, Columbus 2.
