Jason Pominville and Nathan Gerbe scored in a shootout and Ryan Miller made 27 saves as the Buffalo Sabres snapped a 12-game losing streak on the road with a 2-1 victory over Devils Tuesday. Pominville ripped a shot over the glove of Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur on the Sabres' third and possibly final shootout attempt. Miller made a pad save on the rookie Adam Henrique on the Devils' fourth attempt, and Gerbe gave Buffalo its first road win since Dec. 3 by beating Brodeur. Defenseman Jordan Leopold scored a fluke first-period goal for Buffalo. Gerbe ripped a shot from the top of the left circle that missed the net. The puck hit the glass behind the net and landed in the right edge of the crease for an easy tap-in by Leopold.
