Want to report corruption, but don't know the procedure? Call 19991. The National Anti-Corruption Commission has assigned this land line telephone number for those who want to inquire about methods of reporting corruption cases and the conditions that should be fulfilled in the report. The telephone is exclusively for inquiry and not for reporting corruption cases, said Muhammad Bin Abdullah Al-Shareef, the Commission's chief. He said the Commission only accepts reports in writing sent to the commission's address (The National Anti Corruption Commission, 7667 Al-Olyia, Al-Ghadier District, Riyadh, P.O.Box 13311, postal code 2525, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) or by fax (01/2645555). Complaints can also be registered by visiting the Commission's office in person. Reports about corruption cases should be addressed to the Commission's chief and must have full names, signatures, addresses and ID numbers of the people filing the reports. Reports should be genuine, legibly written and should have supportive pieces of evidence. The Commission keeps the reporter's identity confidential if requested. A person filing a report should not reveal the content of the report or publish it in newspapers and websites. Al-Shareef urged all segments of society to fully cooperate with the Commission in the public interest.
