The Under-12 and Under-9 kids displayed their talent as the 6th JSC in-house football tournament, supported by Mobile 1 and Jotun Paints, kicked off at Dunk ground here. On the opening day when the kids dazzled JSC Barcelona teams dominated JSC Real Madrid in both the U-12 and U-9 sections. JSC Barca overcame JSC Real Madrid 3-2 in a closely-contested U-12 match. Shazin Shyjil struck twice and was adjudged the Man of the Match. Hazim completed the tally. Farzin and Adil scored for JSC Real Madrid. In U-9 Category, JSC Barca beat JSC Real Madrid 2-1. Both teams played superbly and a powerful long-range shot by captain Hadi Aboobaker sealed the victory for JSC Barca. Ehan scored the other goal for the winner, while Eshan found the target for JSC Real Madrid. In the parents' category JSC Chelsea proved too good for JSC Barca, as Chelsea romped home 3-0. Mohammed Haneefa, Rafi Beemapally and Haris Keyi scored for the winner. Rafi Beemapally was selected as the Man of the Match. In another keen encounter, JSC Real Madrid drew goalless with JSC Juventus. Anil of Juventus was adjudged the Man of the Match. IISJ Managing Committee Chairman Mohammed Iqbal officially inaugurated the tournament in the morning. He appreciated JSC for providing a quality facility for Indian expat boys and expert training. Mohammed Asif Rameez Daudi, professor, King Abdul Aziz University, and IIJC managing committee member, also graced the opening.
