JSC Annual Day event marked with fervor

The Jeddah Sports Club (JSC) Soccer Training Academy celebrated its 5th Annual Day at North Obhur, and the 12-hour-long marathon event was attended by JSC's 120 trainees and their family members.
The event was inaugurated by Jaffer Ahmad, president of JSC, with the welcome song accorded by JSC Academy trainees. A glittering bonanza of dances, oppana, songs, fancy dress, skits, and story-telling enthralled the audience with the repeated resounding applause from the spectators reiterating the children's talent. The musicians, quizmasters of the Academy entertained the audience by their orchestral pieces, vocal rendering and quiz programs in between the various items.
The villa at Obhur transformed into a mini festive winter wonderland on the appointed day. Cultural programs began at 4:00 p.m. with Under 12 and 09 trainees and their sisters' drawing and coloring competition. The kids' imaginations ran wild with beautiful and individualistic paintings and drawings. In parallel, the story-telling, speech, sing-a-song, mono-act, and fancy dress programs kept the audience regaled.
Participants for these programs included Adeem Faisal, Affan Askar, Tashin Abubacker, Bilal Mohideen, Sursheel Shameer, Ehan Abdulrazik, Fadil Anees, Fayha Anees, Aman Zamir, Aybak Zamir, Haala Sajjad, Rami Rahees, Manhal Fawaz, Amal Shameer, Sahal Ansar and Shamil Mujeeb.
The boys' groups consisted of Adnan Mohideen, Affan Askar, Izaan Junais, Fudail Mansoor, Azim Hakeem, Irfan Azeez, Erfan Usman, Mishal Majeed, Zaim Noushad, Salman Usman, Aasim Majeed, Nabeel Faisal, Maazin Faisal, Yaseen Ismail, Salman Ismail, Abdurahman, Jasir Ubaid, Zaim Anvar and Rehan Niyas
The girls' groups consisted of Fathima Basheer, Wardah Safarali, Elham Siddik, Ridah Yunus, Reema Ashraf, Minha Shaji, Nashwa Noushad, Amal Naufal, Zoha Anwar and they left the audience spellbound with their dancing numbers and oppana.
Another attraction in the show was keyboard play by Haizam Fayyaz with his sister supporting him wonderfully with her guitar. Skit masters were Tabreez Tajmal, Lutfi Kareem, Anjoom, Shakeel, Haani and Nehan.
JSC senior singers, Abdullah Koya, Arashad Khanooni and Hisham Mahe were superb with their melodious songs. While Shahzin Shygil thrilled the audience with his fun game, his father, Shygil Moideen kept the audience awake till 3:00 a.m. with his magnificent high-tech quiz.
Above all, every person in the venue was happy as most of the JSC under 12 and 9 trainees took part in one or other programs.
The program was coordinated by JSC Event Team led by Sadik Edakkad supported by Zamir Kannur, Abdul Majeed, Ashfaq Melakendy, Praveen Padman, Sajjad, Rahees, Hisham Mahe, Anwar Vallanchira, Tajmal Adiraja, Shabeer, Shamsheer, Razik, Hamzal and Mohammed Anees. There was a strong JSC family ladies team working behind the scene to make this event a grand success. They were the directors or choreographers of most of the programs. It was huge task JSC entrusted to them in the shortest time. And, the multitalented, Shahda and Sabah were the comperes of the event.
One of the major highlight of the event was felicitation of IISJ school team that achieved very remarkable position in the CBSE tournament held in Mumbai, India, this year. Abdul Rasheed, physical director of IISJ along with IISJ team members were present. The achievers were felicitated by the JSC Honorary Chairman T.P. Basheer and other executive members of JSC.
Speaking at the occasion, Abdul Rasheed expressed his delight on the IISJ School's achievements and appreciated JSC for contributing number of trained talented players to play for IISJ. He also appreciated the efforts of the JSC management and coaches to train and nurture these children to come up to these standards.
JSC coaches Saleem, Iqbal, Haneefa, Zaheer, Umer Khan, Ashfar, Anil, Zamir and Majeed were honored during the event for their dedicated voluntary service to the JSC and its trainees. JSC coaches announced the ‘Team JSC' captains and vice captains for the upcoming JSC Tournament. Team JSC's new captains and vice captains are Abdul Muiz Anwar and Nujoom Nazer for JSC Under 17-A Team; Anas Basheer and Sahal P.K. for JSC Under 17-B Team; Hazem Ahmed and Tanveer Tajmal for JSC U14 Team; Essam and Aftab for Under 12 Team.
The curtain came down on this year's celebration with bumper prize distribution, which was sponsored by GEEPAS and Mirage Travels.
