Published in The Saudi Gazette on 13 - 11 - 2016

PETROMIN Corporation, the leading automotive lubricant company in Saudi Arabia, has been recognized for Excellence by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) and awarded four stars, becoming the first and only Saudi organization to claim the recognition.
The EFQM Recognized for Excellence rating testifies an organization›s commitment to product and service excellence as well as its ability to innovate.
The EFQM report said Petromin is committed to adding value to its customers, creating a sustainable future, leading with vision, and sustaining outstanding results. EFQM panel was particularly impressed with the service excellence in lubricant manufacturing and quick lube services.
Aiming to spotlight on the advanced working mechanism in its plants, Petromin invited local media to Jeddah plant, which is the biggest in MENA with a production capacity of 250,000 Metric Ton (MT) per annum.
Samir Nawar, CEO of Petromin Corporation, said the latest accolade puts Petromin in line with leading global brands such as Siemens Power Generation Services in the United Kingdom, Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) in the United Arab Emirates Energy, and Robert Bosch - Chassis Systems Control India Ltd.
"Being the first and only Saudi organization to be recognized for excellence by EFQM rating underlines our philosophy of not only manufacturing world-class products but also delivering superior customer experience. This has been the greatest strength of Petromin, and going forward we will not rest on our laurels but will continuously work hard to introduce customer-centric initiates to deliver our products and services to our customers," he said.
Nawar said the EFQM recognition brings Petromin closer to its 2020 vision of becoming a fully integrated business model to evolve into a one-stop shop for a wide range of products and services.
Nawar confirmed that Petromin insisted on using the most advanced techniques in its Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dubai plant.
"With our state-of-the-art blending plant in Jeddah, we provide more than 150 world-class products to motorists, and to commercial and industrial institutions in addition to government sectors. Therefore, we equipped our plant with the most advanced laboratory techniques and applied stringent measures toward Quality Management," said Nawar.
He added "we will continue to focus on investing for the long-term and expanding our operations to guarantee world-class services and products. Petromin employees live the company›s values in terms of Service Excellence, which proves their passion and continuous commitment to earn the customer›s trust."
Nawar confirmed that Petromin is the biggest lubricants producer and exporter in Saudi Arabia and MENA.
"We are leading the lubricants market in Saudi Arabia, with a market share of industrial volume estimated at 55 percent, by offering a wide variety of products to leading organizations such Aramco, SABIC, Saudi Airlines, and many others leading corporations. In addition, Petromin›s market share of government volumes estimated at 70 percent, providing products to Defense Ministry, National Guards, Saudi Electrical Company, and City Municipalities," he said.
Petromin products are approved by the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) such as Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Porsche, Siemens, MAN, General Motors (GM), Dexos 1, and many others.
