Majid grabs 8-10 with hat trick

JEDDAH — Majid of Arcoma crushed Deccan Youth grabbing 8 wickets for just 10 runs, the best figures so far in WPCA, while Rana Imran of MFCC, Nazeer Farooqui of Al-Saudi XI and Ashfaq of Kashmir Strikers excelled with the bat in SCC Morning Tournament, played under the aegis of Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC) and managed by WPCA.
The match between Al-Kabbani Cricekt Group and ADI XI ended in a tie. ADI XI was bowled out for 129. Bilal made 37, Nabeel 37 and Omar Mehfooz 24. Luqman Ulfat grabbed 4-10 and Jameel 2-26.
Al-Kabbani, in reply, also made 129-8 to tie the match. Shahzad Khan was run out for 26, Shahzad Ahmed hit 15 and Luqman Ulfat 38. Nabeel took 2-18 and Bilal 2-30.
MFCC prevailed over Al-Saudi Green by 41 runs. MFCC plundered 181-4. Rana Imran hammered 72 in 40 balls with 5 sixes and 4 fours. Farhan compiled 50 in 38 balls as the two added 122 for the opening stand. Later, Mehmood remained unbeaten on 32. Adil took 2-17.
Al-Saudi Green was restricted to 140-6. Nazeer Farooqui top scored with an unbeaten 66 and Gul Zaman 14. Mahmood took 2-15.
Hyderabad Strikers downed Super Cricket Club by 43 runs. Hyderabad Strikers piled up 167-7. Irfan Ayazuddin hit 33, Mahmood 17, Mannan 38, Ali 19 and Afridi 23. Zeeshan scalped 2-34 and Farooq 2-35.
Super CC, in reply, was stranded at 124-8 after a solid start. Asad hit 47. He added 85 for the opening stand with Imran (33). From a strong position of 85 for no loss, Super CC succumbed to 99-5, losing 5 wickets in space for 14 runs. Later, Farooq made 18. Irfan grabbed 3-9 and Ali 2-14.
Sadafco had the better of Apex Express by 6 wickets. Apex Express was bowled out for 95 with only Rizwan making 46 and Sardar 12 not out. Abdur Rehman scalped 3-22, Tauseef 2-14 and Iqbal Patel 2-16.
Sadafco, in chase, reached 98-4 in 62 balls. Ali Jaan compiled 39, Zameer 11 and Zubair 15.
Arcoma crushed Deccan Youth by 5 wickets. Deccan Youth was bundled out for 68 as Majid bamboozled it with a magical figures of 8-10 in 20 balls after it was in a commanding position of 54 for no loss. Rizwan made 37 and Shareef 20. Once the openers were sent back, Deccan Youth was bowled out for the addition of 14 runs. Majid took 8-10 and Nabeel 2-19.
Arcoma, in chase, got to 72-5 in 54 balls. Kashif remained unbeaten on 24. Hidayat took 2-13.
Nesma holding thrashed NNG Sports by 9 wickets. NNG Sports, batting first, crashed to 79. Nouman hit 23 and Waheed 15. Zafar took 3-6, Saqib 3-7 and Furqan 2-4.
Nesma Holding achieved the victory by making 82-1 in 48 balls. Furqan hit 30 and Saqib Butt an unbeaten 29 as the two added 54. Shiraz remained unbeaten on 15.
Kashmir Strikers defeated Edge Tek by 26 runs. Kashmir Strikers piled up 158-7. Samiullah Al-Najar hit 35 and Awais 14. Ashfaq top scored with 71 in 38 balls with 9 fours and a six. Arsalan took 3-33.
Edge Tek was restricted to 132-6. Rabie was unbeaten on 42, Ehtesham 26 and Nouman 21. Zahid took 2-19.
