Madinah Strikers keep winning

MADINAH — Waqas, Hassan, Mazher and Tauseef perfomed well in SCC T20 Cup 2016, organized by Madinah Cricket League (MCL) and sponsored by Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC) here.
Madinah Strikers continued to impress by winning back-to-back matches. It got the better of UCC by 4 runs. Electing to bat first, Madinah Strikers posted 174-8 in 20 overs. Sameer scored 34, Ishtiyaq 30 and Perwaiz 26. Amir took 3 wickets and Usman 2. UCC, in reply, fought well to reach 170-7. Naveed made 48, Waqas 30 and Imtiyaz 24. Ayoob, Wassi and Ishtiyaq took 2 wickets each.
In another close encounter, Jutt XI edged MCH Eagle by 9 runs. Jutt XI scored 190-7. Hassan hit 70, Naeem 32 and Saud 23. Gohar took 4 wickets and Zahid 2. In reply, MCH Eagle tried well but managed only 181-5. Baber took 2 wickets and Umer 1.
In one-sided encounter, My Care & Hala ran over Young Star. The winner batted first and tallied 156. Sadiq made 32, Shahzad 30 and Musawir 25. Muhammad was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets and Irfan claimed 2. Chasing this total, Young Star was bowled out for 103 in 17 overs. Thanks to an outstanding 5 wicket-haul by Mazher and 3 wickets by Tauseef.
ASDAF XI won a high-scoring match against PRCC by 57 runs. Batting first, ASDAF XI amassed 251-4. Waqas maintained his form and stroked 131. He was well supported by Irfan (54). Waleed and Zakir took one wicket each. PRCC struggled from the start while chasing a huge total. It was restricted to 194-8. Sajjad took 3 wickets and Bilal 2.
