Ducks dispose of visiting Predators
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 28 - 10 - 2016

The Anaheim Ducks scored three power-play goals and two short-handed in the same game for the first time in club history, more than enough to dispose of the visiting Nashville Predators 6-1 at Honda Center here.
Jakob Silfverberg scored twice and Nick Ritchie, Corey Perry, Ryan Kesler and Andrew Cogliano one each for the Ducks.
Colin Wilson broke up Anaheim goalie John Gibson's shutout bid with a late goal. Gibson made 28 saves in his sixth start this season.
Rangers 5, Bruins 2
Brandon Pirri scored two of the New York Rangers' five consecutive goals that erased a two-goal deficit in a 5-2 thumping on the Boston Bruins at Madison Square Garden.
David Pastrnak and Austin Czarnik staked Boston to an early lead but the Rangers struck for five goals over a 14-minute span across the second and third periods. Along with Pirri's two goals, Rick Nash, Jimmy Vesey and Kevin Hayes also scored for the Rangers.
Goaltender Henrik Lundqvist stopped 27 shots to earn the win.
Bruins goaltender Zane McIntyre crumbled after a solid start, allowing five goals on 31 shots.
Canadiens 3, Islanders 2
Shea Weber scored the tie-breaking goal with 2:57 remaining in the third period as Montreal remained unbeaten in regulation with win over New York at Barclays Center.
Weber's shot sailed under the arm of Islanders goalie Thomas Greiss as defenseman Travis Hamonic made a late attempt to block it.
Paul Byron and Phillip Danault also scored for the Canadiens while goalie Al Montoya recorded 26 saves. John Tavares and Dennis Seidenberg scored for the Islanders. Greiss made 26 saves.
Oilers 4, Capitals 1
Benoit Pouliot led the way with a pair of goals as Edmonton continued its surprisingly strong start to the season with a win over Washington.
Milan Lucic and Patrick Maroon also scored for the Oilers, who won their fourth game in a row.
Alex Ovechkin scored in response for the Capitals, who have dropped two straight. — Reuters
