Natcom stuns Nestle Milo

JEDDAH — Crown Steel defeated IDBG, AOT downed MCC and Friends XI beat ALS Warriors in the SCC Premier Tournament, sponsored by Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC) and managed by WPCA.
AOT downed MCC by 63 runs. AOT piled up 208-8. Nasir made 18, Gulam Mustafa 26, Faisal Mehmood 27, Naeem Shah 30 and Asim 22. Saleem grabbed 4-44 and Ijaz 3-33. MCC, in reply, was bowled out for 145. Zeeshan top scored with 58 in 26 balls, Khawar Sohail 25 and Ramazan 13. Qaiser Lateef picked up 3-22.
Crown Steel edged past IDBG by 12 runs. Crown Steel racked up 206-6. Anwaar Chandi stroked 27, while last week's centurion Khurram Karamat hit 52 in 33 balls and the duo added 59. Later, Humayun Khan remained unbeaten on 55 off 27 balls, Shoaib Ali 28 and Javeed Iqbal 14. Khalid Iqbal grabbed 3-58.
IDBG, in response, fell short by 12 runs to be stranded at 194-5. Rahat Ali Choudhry smashed 59 in 26 balls as he added 80 for the opening stand with Usman Gulab who scored 68 in 44 balls. Later, Noor Butt played a cavalier innings of 31 not out in vain. Imran took 2-25.
Friends XI downed ALS Warriors by 3 wickets. ALS Warriors posted 146-8. Amjad Mohammed made 19, Mohammed Khan 31, Abdullah Essa 30 and Talha 35. Imran Yusuf took 2-29. Friends XI reached 148-7 in 105 balls. Umair hit 36, Anis Malik 38, Niaz Ahmed unbeaten 37 and Wajahat Shah 14. Safiuddin took 3-22.
SCC Afternoon
Natcom defeated Nestle Milo to pull off the big upset of the day, El Seif Eng Co. beat Royal Brothers, Gujarat Eagles had the last laugh against Thales Group and Al-Safri thrashed Jotun Paints in the SCC Afternoon matches of the week.
Natcom stunned champion Nestle Milo by 19 runs. Natcom piled up 169-5. Waqas hammered 79 in 48 balls with the help of 11 fours and a six as he first added 44 with Aftab (22) and then 82 with Amir Shahzad(20). Ali remained unbeaten on 21. Haroon Zahid took 2-34. Nestle Milo in response was stranded at 150-3. Ijaz Butt hit 35, Abdullah Zahid 55 in 41 balls and Bilal Malik unbeaten 42.
El Seif Eng Co. got the better of Royal Brothers by 5 runs. El Seif was bowled out for 118. Amjad scored 25 and Saddam 34. Umer Khan took 3-22, Shoaib Khan 3-27 and Haneef Khan 2-20.
Royal Brothers, in reply, was stranded at 113-9. Abdullah Khan stroked 38. Saddam took 3-22, Shahab 2-22 and Amjad Khan 2-6.
Al-Safri thrashed Jotun Paints by 107 runs. Al-Safri amassed a mammoth 238-6, thanks to a scintillating innings by Rehan who blasted 121 in 50 balls with 14 fours and 6 sixes. He added 164 in 71 balls for the second wicket with Hasanat Ahmed who made 69 in 40 balls with 2 sixes and 9 fours. Aftab Malik remained unbeaten on 18. Qasim took 3-47 and Usman 2-38.
Jotun Paints was restricted to 131-6. Mazhar was the top scorer with an unbeaten 38 as he added 60 with Sajid (26). Shabbir made 20 and Qasim 14. Abid Malik took 3-22 and Shahzad Asif 2-18.
Gujarat Eagles tasted its maiden win against Thales Group by 4 runs. Gujarat Eagles produced 151-8. Arbab made 29 as he added 59 with Mohammed Arshad (30). Waqas compiled 35 and Muzammil 21. Junaid took 2-23 and Mohammed Ilyas 2-26.
Thales Group was stranded at 147-8. Mohammed Amjad contributed 23, Yasir 16, Owais 20 and Mohammed unbeaten 22. Ajmal took 2-29 and Mukhtar 2-32.
