RIYADH — KFSH Blues and Sama Steel remained unbeaten after the fourth round of the AMEX T20 Tournament, organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) and sponsored by The American Express Company.
Al-Kharaj League
KFSH Blues defeated Amer Holidays by 39 runs. Batting first, KFSH Blues recorded 212 for 7. Nasir Abbasi top scored with 52, Munawar and Nadeem Babar mustered 41 and 39, respectively. Samiullah and Saleem took 3 wickets each. In reply, a five-wicket haul from Mateen curtailed Amer Holidays to 173 in 19.3 overs. Sami Arshad smashed 71, Samiullah and Irfan batted well for 32 each. Munawar picked up 3 wickets.
Lahore Lions lost to Pak Shaheen by 65 runs. Faisal (77), Abdul Salam (62) and Abdul Waheed (35) took Pak Shaheen's total to 252 for 7. Hassan and Muzaffar claimed 2 wickets each. Lahore Lions managed 187 in reply. Qamar scored 32, while Nawaz, Muzaffar and Awais made 27 runs each. Ibrar, Aziz and Yasir took 2 wickets each.
Sama Steel beat Riyadh Aces by 63 runs. Batting first, Sama Steel posted 268 for 5. Raja and Nasir scored fifties, making 62 and 72, respectively. Asif contributed 35. Zaki took 3 wickets. In reply, Riyadh Aces was restricted to 205. Zaibi (47), Hassan (31) and Saleem (29) batted well. Asif grabbed 3 wickets.
Hayer League
Riyadh Fighters PPF cruised to victory over Detecon Eagles by 35 runs. Riyadh Fighters PPF piled up 173 through Kamran (41), Imran (35) and Qaiser (31). Khurram and Rizwan claimed 3 wickets each. Qiaser's 5 for 32 restricted Detecon to 138. Saim picked up 2 wickets. Uzair and Aftab scored 25 runs each.
Lahore Badshah Green humbled Asia XI by 1 wicket. Asia XI collected 182. Atif and Ikraam bowled well and grabbed 4 wickets each, while Wasim got 2. Lahore Badshah Green reached the target in 19.5 overs. Zeeshan (60), Atif (32) and Awais (28) ensured a thrilling win. Ahmed took 3 wickets.
Riyadh Fighters PPF won against TBCC by 38 runs. Riyadh Fighters PPF racked up 153. Qaiser smashed 57 off 23 balls. TBCC scrabbled to 115 in reply. Shamnad hit 46. Qaiser took 3 wickets, while Salman, Asif and Saim got 2 each.
Kashmir XI lost to Raavi by 45 runs. Raavi posted 241. Abu Baker cracked 92 off 40 balls and Afzal 55 off 18 balls. Arif and Waseem bagged 2 wickets each. Kashmir XI made 196. Wasim, Arif and Waseem played well for 45, 43 and 40, respectively. Nadeem took 3 wickets and Shehzad got 2.
Riyadh Panthers flattened Pakhtunkhwa Gladiators by a massive 118 runs. Riyadh Panthers compiled 234-3. Asim produced a brilliant knock of 123 off 58 balls with 14 fours and 6 sixes. Sapra scored 51. Pakhtunkhwa Gladiators was all out for 116. Bilal showed some resistance with 51. Mubashir, Usman and Raza claimed 2 wickets each.
Challengers XI crushed by Nouman Gymkhana by 57 runs. Nouman Gymkhana posted 164-7. Aftab scored 69 and Zakaullah 28. Karthick took 3 wickets and Murali 2. Challengers XI was all out for 107. Nisar (39) and Riyaz (20) put up some fight. Shehzad and Aftab picked up 2 wickets each.
