ABHA — King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals was ranked at 189 among the top 800 universities in the world in 2016, according to the QS World University Rankings. The rankings included 6 other Saudi universities that was not part of the top 100 and three American universities made the list of the top 10 universities in the same year. 7 Saudi universities The QS World University Rankings included 7 Saudi universities which are: King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, King Saud University, King Abdulaziz University, King Khalid University, Umm Al Qura University, Imam Muhammad Bin Saud Islamic University and the University of King Faisal. Massachusetts in the lead According to the rating, Cambridge University deteriorated this year and is no longer among the top three universities in the world for the first time in more than a decade. Despite it being the first among British universities, it dropped from third to fourth among the world's universities on the list, thus achieving the lowest rating since the list began publishing in 2004. Massachusetts Institute of Technology was ranked as the best university for the fifth consecutive year.
