First Cinnabon outlet opens at Abu Dhabi International Airport
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 09 - 09 - 2016

ABU Dhabi Airports has opened the first Cinnabon franchise in its terminals. The store opening is part of a previously announced agreement with licensing partner HMSHost International, the world's leading provider of food and beverage for people on the move. Cinnabon will offer the American company's delicious treats for those traveling through the capital's gateway.
Located near Gate 32 in Terminal 3, Cinnabon is opening its doors 24/7 to deliver indulging sweets including the Cinnabon Classic Cinnamon Roll, the Caramel Pecanbon and a host of coffees such as the Mochalatta Chill.
Cinnabon has a long and rich family history. The first store was opened in 1985 by father-and-son duo Rich and Greg Komen in Seattle, Washington, US, and now the recognizable scent of baked goodies will be wafting through Terminal 3.
Walter Seib, CEO of HMSHost International, is looking forward to opening more stores in Abu Dhabi International Airport and the rest of the UAE, and he said: "In our strategy to increase our footprint in the rapidly expanding and dynamic Middle Eastern marketplace, the first opening of our eleven-outlet agreement in the UAE with one of our most valued strategic partners, marks a significant and exciting milestone."
The addition of Cinnabon to the existing dining outlets available across AUH is just another way for the airport to enhance the passenger experience, according to Abu Dhabi Airports Acting Chief Commercial Officer, Daniel Cappell: "We are delighted to welcome Cinnabon and its delicious offerings to Abu Dhabi International Airport. The addition of Cinnabon to our portfolio reflects our commitment to passengers who share our passion for tasty treats with swift service.".
Cinnabon began opening franchises across the globe in 1986, and sells over a billion fresh rolls both domestically and internationally every year. A highlight of Cinnabon's legacy was when the popular Mochalatta Chill frozen drink was first launched and sold the same quantity of liquid as an Olympic
