Panda Retail Company has announced that all its stores across the country now offer Hady and Udhiya coupons at SR460 a coupon for all types of sacrificial animals. Reflecting the company's constant endeavors to launch new services that reinforce Panda's emphasis on excellence in customer service, the new initiative helps both Saudi citizens as well as expatriates perform this important ritual with considerable ease. Panda has been officially authorized by Islamic Development Bank (IDB) to sell such coupons to the members of the general public. Starting Sept. 4, 2016, Udhiya, Hady, Aqiqa, Sadaqa and Fidya coupons are available for purchase at all Panda stores (Panda, HyperPanda, Pandati) across the Kingdom. Supermarket cashiers issue the desired coupons and notify IDB accordingly. "We are proud to partner in this important project to help our customers overcome any difficulty in performing the rituals of Hady and Udhiya. It is an honor for us to support this project, which is considered to be one of the largest charity projects at the global level that reflects the true meaning of social solidarity in Islam," said Muwaffaq Mansour Jamal, Chief Executive Officer, Panda Retail Company. The cooperation with IDB comes in line with the Saudi Project for Utilization of Haj Meat established in 1983. Since its inception and until the last Hajj season, over 16 million animals have been slaughtered and their meat distributed among the poor in Makkah City as well as to foundations and charitable organisations in 19 countries. The distribution process was supervised and managed by IDB. Panda forms the Retail Division of the Savola group of companies. It is one of the largest retailers in the Middle East, catering to more than 400 million visitors every year across its different outlets – Panda, HyperPanda and Pandati – which offer a diverse range of high quality products that meet all the needs of the family, at competitive prices. Panda Retail Company has launched last month its new digital initiative, ‘Colorful Life', aimed at improving public health and raising the awareness of all segments of the society about the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle. The initiative comes in line with Panda's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program that focuses on educating the public about healthy eating habits and providing health tips in an innovative way. Developed by a group of highly skilled nutritionists, ‘Colorful Life' provides personalized health assessment for subscribers under four main criteria: public health, body mass, physical exercise and diet plan. Upon entering the required information, the subscribers are offered health tips and diet plans that can help them improve the quality of their lifestyle. Based on their height and weight, subscribers can get to know their body mass index, whether they have the perfect weight or whether they are obese. All information is provided based on accurate scientific criteria.
