Pakistan Navy's Guided Missile Destroyer PNS Khaibar visited Jeddah from Aug. 21-25, to further boost relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The visit proved another feather in the growing relations between Pakistan Navy and Royal Saudi Naval Forces. The commanding officer of the ship called on the Western Fleet Commander Adm. Saeed Al Zahrani in a meeting where further strengthening of bilateral ties and inter-organizational procedures was discussed. The admiral stressed the importance Saudi Arabia attaches to its relations with Pakistan in general and its armed forces in particular. While the commanding officer reiterated that Saudi Arabia has always been a second home for Pakistan Navy and this time round also the hospitality of RSNF has been immaculate. The visit featured training of ship's officers and men on Damage Control & Fire Fighting at the RSNF training school a facility just recently commissioned and featuring state of the art equipment. Upon the departure of the ship RSNF ship HMS Boraida conducted Passage Exercises while bidding farewell to the ship. The visit was a spectacular success in bolstering the ties between Pakistan Navy and Royal Saudi Naval Forces.
