Pakistan navy ship PNS ALAMGIR will arrive at Jeddah Islamic Port on April 15 on a goodwill visit. Captain Naveed Ashraf, Pakistan Navy is Commanding Officer of the ship, which will be docked at the port till April 18. Captain Ashraf will pay courtesy visits to dignitaries of the Royal Saudi Naval Force Navy including Western Fleet Commander Jeddah and Commander RSNF Base Jeddah. The crew of the ship will visit different institutions of the RSNF Navy. PNS ALAMGIR will also hold a naval exercise with RSNF ship. The ship is named after emperor Aurangzeb Alamgir who was the sixth Muslim ruler of Great Moughal Empire which ruled the Subcontinent for almost 50 years. PNS ALAMGIR was commissioned in August, 2012. It is equipped with state-of-the-art Combat Management System, torpedoes and missiles. It can also operate an organic helicopter.
