Saudi Minister of Labor and Social Development Dr. Mufrej Al-Haqbani unveiled on Sunday the National Labor Gateway "Taqat" amid a large turnout of labor officials, other government participants, businessmen, media figures and HR specialists in the private sector. The new launching of the gateway comes within the Kingdom's 2030 along with the objectives set under the national transformation program that aim to generate enough job opportunities by 2020 and enhance efforts for aligning educational outcomes with the job market. The ministry said in a statement that Taqat would serve as an all-in-one platform for the labor market through providing a wide range of full-fledged services for job seekers and employers alike. The event was attended by HR partners and representatives from the public and private sectors as well as three productive parties including workers, employers and government entities. Meanwhile, the gateway is in a bid to hasten the employment of male and female Saudis in the job market as well as open new avenues for employers to get qualified national workforce instead of importing foreign workers abroad.
