As the Saudization deadline approaches for mobile phone and its accessories shops, the Ministry of Labor and Social Development is calling upon private establishments to comply with the decision. Khaled Abalkhail, spokesman of the ministry, said that the inspection department of the ministry has rolled up its sleeves to carry out inspection rounds in cooperation with the ministries of commerce and investment and municipality and rural affairs. He said that the ministry has prepared a range of training programs for Saudi nationals to be employed in the mobile sector. The training programs offer incentives and grants for Saudi entrepreneurs, and can be accessible at http://www.sotm.info A total of 19,000 Saudi men and women are ready to take up new careers in the mobile industry following their training relating to customer service, sales and maintenance, Abalkhail said. The training programs take place in the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) and get financial support from the Human Recourses Development Fund (Hadaf). Some 4,000 Saudi women have already received training, he added. Abalkhail urged establishments, business owners and job seekers to visit the national labor gateway (Taqat) website https://www.taqat.sa to sign up and post job vacancies in the telecom sector. The new graduates can register with Taqat and review job opportunities in order to submit their applications, he added.
