Prominent floral painters exhibit in the UK from August 15 to 19
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 02 - 07 - 2016

An exciting mixed exhibition featuring floral and botanical work by prominent professional painters takes place over five days in the UK this summer. In fact two of the four exhibitors belong to the prestigious Royal Birmingham Society of Artists (RBSA) so the standard is guaranteed to be high.
Between August 15 and 19 paintings by Vivienne Cawson RBSA, Paula Hamilton ARBSA, Ingrid Skoglund and Tina Bone will be exhibited at Hinchingbrooke Country Park, Brampton Road, Huntingdon, Cambridge. This is the result of a collaboration with Creative Coverage, which works with selected professional artists across the UK. The first Creative Coverage exhibition took place at the venue last year and was so popular that the group has been invited to return.
"We are delighted to be welcoming some of the UK's finest contemporary artists for our exhibition this summer at Hinchingbrooke Country Park," says Judith Arnold, Countryside Manager. "We would like to extend a big thank you to our partners Creative Coverage for their support in this venture, as we look to deliver the best in countryside fine art."

Vivienne Cawson RBSA
Pattern, colour and natural form are the focus for Vivienne's floral watercolours. Inspiration is sparked by the colours and shapes of flowers, gorgeous fabric, a special jug or vase. "The contrast of natural form with geometric pattern is often a strong element in my work," she says. "I aim to produce a response in my painting that is fresh and contemporary, not merely a faithful reproduction and am inspired by the information set out before me to produce a spontaneous reaction. It is an exciting journey, which I hope helps to keep my painting alive with fresh, vibrant colour.
Paula Hamilton ARBSA
Although Paula originally trained in Textile Art, at Camberwell and the Royal College of Art, she started to paint landscapes following a house move to north Worcestershire. At the same time Paula began to use her garden as muse, using the seasons with their own set of colours and atmosphere to provide non-stop variety and inspiration. She uses acrylic paints in fairly liquid form to build layers of colour before working in more detail. Attempting to capture the feel of a season or time of day by the use of colours and form, layers and silhouette; these things all excite and motivate the artist. Elected an Associate member of the RBSA in 2013, Paula is a full-time artist and regularly exhibits work at the RBSA and other venues and galleries in the West Midlands. She has also exhibited work in London and Oxford and sells to private collectors in the UK and abroad.
Ingrid Skoglund
Surrey based Ingrid Skoglund works in oils, mixed media and watercolour. She has a particular interest in flowers but also enjoys paintings portraits, landscapes and animals. Ingrid exhibits her work throughout the UK.
Tina Bone
Cambridge based Tina Bone is a self-taught, botanical and natural history artist. She also produces illuminated letter design with gold leaf. Her work is exhibited locally, nationally and internationally. Tina has sold paintings in: Australia, America, Canada, India, Mexico, Spain, France, Hong Kong and China. Her work is published on jigsaws and cards (Ling Design). A finalist in the BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year her paintings have featured in magazines. Tina has been commissioned to produce pen and ink drawings for GCSE science school books, scientific publications and hand-drawn maps. Her work hangs in a Saudi palace. Tina, who is listed in the Who's Who in Art and in the Dictionary of International Biography, is currently co-authoring a manuscript and providing all the artwork for a book with world-renowned botanist, Sylvia M Haslam.
