Innovation is set to play a key role at Tank Storage Asia 2016, where international buyers and leading decision makers will be able to see the entire breadth of the bulk liquid storage supply chain. The leading event for the Asian tank storage industry takes place on Sept. 27- 28 at the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. Over 65 leading organizations are signed up to exhibit at the 2016 show already, including Colfax Fluid Handling, Concrete Canvas, Emco Wheaton, Fort Vale Engineering, Hitachi Critical Facilities Protection, Maide Machine and Siemens. Many of these will use the show to launch new products and services to the tank storage market. For instance, BIOex will be launching its new formula, Ecopol F3 HC. It is the first fluorine-free 3 percent foam concentrate, suitable for use on hydrocarbon fires. It performs better than any AFFFs, is biodegradable and is exceptionally fast acting. Timm Elektronik will be unveiling its new Marine Grounding System, SEK-3, which offers the highest safety during the loading and unloading of vessels. It has a compact design, good visibility of status lamps, both on device and clamp, as well as a multifunctional status display. The Marine Grounding System has EX certification according to ATEX and IECEx standard. The system has been developed in collaboration with The Hamburg University of Applied Science. Loadtec Engineered Systems will be presenting the Loadtec Service, its new servicing company aimed at providing quality lifetime servicing and support for road, sea and marine loading and access equipment. Acez, in partnership with Gas Clip Technologies, will be displaying the new Multi Gas Clip Infrared, a portable gas detector for combustible gases. This can run for two months without needing to be recharged and only requires calibration once a year. Using an advanced low-power infrared-sensor technology ensures protection from toxic gases. It also features an IR LEL sensor, that is immune to H2S and silicone poisoning, plus it does not require oxygen to detect gas accurately. RPR Technologies will be showcasing its latest Induction Disbonder, which offers a unique and fast induction system for the removal of most types of coatings on steel. For the stripping of thick coatings in storage tanks it is up to three times faster than traditional methods, using grit or high-pressure water. The steel is heated up by moving an induction head over the surface, resulting in fast disbonding of the coatings, with thickness up to 20-25 mm. Removal is done by scraping off, with easy bagging for disposal. If it is valves you are after head to the Zwick stand. The company will be displaying its full product ranges, including its metal-seated triple offset butterfly valves, check valves, TRI-BLOCK series and its Double Block and Bleed design. The Double Block and Bleed features a unique design of the linkage between the two shafts. This means the user can actuate both shafts with only one actuator and reach zero leakage with the two available sealing surfaces. Netherlocks Safety Systems will be exhibiting its range of Valve Position Indicators, which offer a highly accurate signal about a valve's status, helping tank storage operators to ensure a correct line-up of manual valves and avoid wrong (off)loading operations, product spills and product contamination. There will be a particular focus at Tank Storage Asia 2016 on its recently launched aluminium coated A-Series, providing a lightweight, cost effective, yet high end solution for non-corrosive environments. Nick Powell, Event Director of the Easyfairs' Tank Storage Portfolio comments: "We are thrilled to welcome so many big name exhibitors to the show this year. The floorplan is now 93 per cent full, and has already surpassed the size of last year's exhibition, plus the showfloor is bursting at the seams with innovation, which is all wonderful news. 2016 is going to be the best show yet!" The Tank Storage Asia 2016 exhibition runs alongside a two-day conference program, which features over 20 global authorities from the bulk liquid storage sector. Experts from companies such as Nexant, Tri-Zen, Aurecon and Peaker Energy will provide visitors with an insight into the industry's critical issues on a local and global scale. — SG
