The Ministry of Labor and Social Development has granted license to 225 recruitment companies and offices across the Kingdom to engage in hiring domestic workers. The ministry also gave initial approval for 129 other offices, the Saudi Press Agency reported. Khaled Abal Khail, spokesman at the ministry, said that the new measure is aimed at meeting the huge demand for domestic help at the local market as well as to bring down the recruitment cost to a reasonable level. He urged Saudis and expatriates who want to hire domestic workers to take advantage of the ministry's Musaned portal through contacting the link (http://www.musaned.gov.sa). Abal Khail said Musaned will help them to get full information about the licensed recruitment firms as well as about the cost of recruitment, period for the arrival of domestic workers and other details. He also called on them to inform the ministry if they faced any difficulties or violations in the process of hiring domestic staff through the online Musaned system. The complaints may be lodged at the Musaned portal or through any branches of the ministry all over the Kingdom or through contacting the ministry's customer service center (No. 19911).
