RIYADH — The Ministry of Labor announced stopping its services to 56 recruitment companies and offices after it was found that they were either not publishing recruitment charges through “Musaned” website or the charges published did not tally with the actual charges. The Musaned website (www.musaned.gov.sa) enables domestic workers and employers to know the mechanism for filing complaints on disputes. It also provides the required forms and documents like recruitment application form for individuals, and forms for salary, exit/re-entry visa, issuance of residence permit (iqama) and driving license, among other services. The website also publishes the cost of recruitment posted by different licensed offices and companies. Director of the Information Center at the Ministry of Labor Taysir Al-Mufarrij said asking companies and offices to publish the cost of recruitment raises the level of competition. Last month the Ministry of Labor urged all citizens and expatriates to lodge their complaints or observations about the performance of recruitment companies and offices. It also called upon the recruitment firms to publish details of their cost for recruitment of domestic helpers. The ministry said it will take penal action against the erring firms.
