Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — Pakistan Consulate Jeddah is seeking to repatriate about 3,000 illegal Pakistani nationals from Shumaisy detention center before Eid, said Tahseem-ul-Haque Haqqi, vice consul community welfare at Pakistan Consulate General here. While addressing the gathering at an inauguration ceremony to distribute Ramadan food packs organized by Pakistan National Circle (PNC), a reputable overseas Pakistanis social and welfare trust, at the residence of president and active chairman PNC Jeddah, Haqqi, who was the chief guest of the function, made this assertion that he and his team are working hard to get the illegals released and sent back home before Eid. Haqqi said "A team of welfare section from the consulate is working hard under the guidance and advices of Shahryar Akbar Khan, consul general, at Shumaisy center to send back home about 3,000 illegal Pakistani nationals in Ramadan by processing their travel documents and out passes so they can celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr with their families." Haqqi praised the efforts of Mohammed Riaz Bajwa, president and chairman PNC Jeddah chapter, and appreciated the welfare, education and medical services of PNC provided to the poor and needy persons. He assured his and the consulate's support to PNC members in their welfare endeavors as PNC is serving humanity as per the teachings of Islam. In his speech, Bajwa thanked guests and participants. He said we are working through collective contributions in order to help needy persons. He added that with the blessing of Allah, PNC had accomplished its welfare projects in 2015 successfully and arranged for 400 Ramadan food packs for distribution this year. He thanked the doctors, who helped in the eye operation, and participated in the medical care projects, while specially identifying the donors, who have selflessly supported and trusted the PNC. Bajwa appealed to all forum members, donors and members of Pakistani community to help PNC with their Zakat and Sadaqat funds to complete the earmarked 2016 project. Earlier, Malik Munawar, vice president PNC, gave brief introduction about PNC activities from 2002 to 2016. Choudhry Mohammed Riaz Ghumen, senior advisor, conducted the ceremony. The program commenced with the recitation of few verses from Holy Qur'an by Choudhry Khalid Chahil, president Jet Foundation, Jeddah.
