Woman in Taif swallows toothbrush

A woman here swallowed a toothbrush on Monday. Saudi German Hospital Digestive System Department Head Dr. Ahmad Hashim said the hospital attended to a woman, 20s, who had swallowed a toothbrush. The doctors were able to extract the toothbrush within 20 minutes without the need for any surgical procedures. The woman is healthy and well and has left the hospital.
Daesh supporter sentenced
to five years in prison
RIYADH — A man was arrested and sentenced to five years in prison for supporting Daesh (so-called IS). The Riyadh Penal Court said the man was arrested for distributing fliers propagating Daesh's agenda. He was also charged with obtaining content, which supports Daesh, consuming alcohol and smoking hashish. The judge sentenced the man with an initial sentence of five years in prison and 80 lashes to be given at one go in public for consuming drugs and alcohol. The man was also banned from travel for five years.

in Tabuk fire
TABUK — An elderly man was burned in a fire on Saturday. Tabuk Civil Defense spokesman Col. Mamdouh Al-Enizi said the Civil Defense received reports of a fire in a house in Al-Rayyan District. The house on fire was on the third story of the three-story building. The Civil Defense broke into the house and extinguished the fire. A 76-year-old man was found burned inside.
Jazan police arrest
thief for stealing car
JAZAN — A thief, who stole a car with a child in it, was quickly arrested. Jazan Police spokesman Lt. Gen. Mohammad Al-Harby said the police received reports of a car that was stolen after its owner had left it running in front of a supermarket. His four-year-old daughter was also inside the car. The police tracked down the car and arrested the thief immediately.
African arrested in
EP for exploitation
DAMMAM — An African man was arrested on multiple charges of exploitation. Eastern Province Police spokesman Col. Ziyad Al-Raqiti said the police arrested an African in his 40s for exploiting a number of Saudis by presenting himself as an investor. He then conned them by saying he can turn paper into money. The man was charged with forgery and the police found a number of credit cards, a sum of money and a black substance he used to forge paper money.
Asian gang arrested for stealing batteries
BURAIDAH — A gang of Asians was arrested for stealing batteries. Qassim Police spokesman Capt. Badr Al-Suhaibani said the police arrested a gang of six Asians who stole batteries from various companies and telecommunication towers. The cost of the stolen batteries added up to more than SR5 million. The gang members confessed of their crime and admitted that they stole batteries from various places in Qassim and Riyadh.
130,000 sq. meters
in Tabuk demolished
TABUK — The municipality demolished 130,000 sq. meters of encroached land. Umluj Municipality reported it had demolished a total of 130,000 sq. meters of encroached land. The owners of the properties built on encroached lands had no official licensing or any paperwork giving them permission to build in these lands. The lands are considered public properties. The owners were fined for their violations as stated in the municipality's regulations.
