Food, Hotel and Hospitality Arabia Exhibition 2016, concluded successfully last May 12 at the Jeddah Center for Forums and Events with increased numbers of professionals and visitors this year. Inaugurated by Adnan Mandoura, general secretary of Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industrial (JCCI), the 21st edition organized by Al Harithy Company for Exhibitions (ACE), attracted 15,000 visitors with a major influx of business visitors from all over the country. Food, Hotel and Hospitality Exhibition is an ideal networking and business-to-business opportunity for importers, wholesalers, distributors, retailers, and large-scale buyers in the food industry, including hotels and restaurants. The overall response to Food, Hotel and Hospitality 2016 was overwhelming with exhibitors expressing satisfaction about their participation and visitors complimenting the quality of the show. Commenting on his company's participation at the show, Ahmed Al Kharsh, deputy president of Flour committee at Jeddah Chamber, said "we have met numerous potential prospects which they were excited and satisfied with Foom products." He stated that the exhibition is also a credible platform for the global food and hospitality industry to launch new products and services in Saudi Arabia and the region. Meanwhile, Yazeed Al Moisheer, Chairman and CEO Bella Sera for Trading, who brought for the first time the taste of gold chef, said "we are introducing for the first time here in Saudi Arabia the taste of gold which is a genuine gold and organically certified flavorings for a glamorous and tasty product." "The exhibition is the ideal platform through which investors targeting the hospitality sector can network and conclude business deals with local, regional and international suppliers," Al Moisheer said. The exhibition also featured Jeddah Open Cooking Championship, a show which brought together the country's leading chefs to compete across twelve categories. The event was co-organized by the Saudi Arabian Chefs Association, and supervised by the World Association of Chefs Societies for Africa & the Middle East (WACS). The competition was judged by 10 regional and international judges who awarded the winning contestants at the final ceremony. Due to the positive response from participants and visitors, Zahoor Siddique, Vice President of Al Harithy Company for Exhibitions, believes that the exhibition was a success. He said "the show gathered excellent suppliers and purchasers of food and hospitality industry all over the Kingdome. It covered 40,000 SQM exhibiting space and attracted about 120 exhibitors from home and abroad."
