JEDDAH — Hundreds of trade visitors flocked to see the new products on display at the Jeddah International Trade Fair 2015 (JITF), which was inaugurated Tuesday by Adnan H. Mandourah, Secretary General, Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in the presence of some dignitaries including consul generals and trade representatives of China, Egypt, Indonesia, India, PakistanMalaysia and South Africa. The 27th edition of the Jeddah International Trade Fair will be open till Dec. 25. The four-day fair, organized by Al Harithy Company for Exhibitions (ACE), in association with Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industrial (JCCI), has attracted more than 200 exhibitors from about 10 countries. More than 3,599 square meters at the exhibition venue has been occupied by the exhibitors. Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of JITF 2015, The Secretary General of Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry said the exhibition provides an ideal platform for Saudi companies and businessmen to forge partnerships with the participating international companies to boost trade between the two countries. He said the exhibition will provide an ideal environment for Saudi firms in particular to have B2B meetings with the participating firms to benefit mutually. Moreover, Zahoor Siddique, Vice President of Al Harithy Company for Exhibitions (ACE), noted at the opening ceremony that the objective of this fair is to increase market demand and develop new opportunities for the local sector. "Another objective of the trade fairs was to get a variety of products on display, all under one roof at venues that are easily accessible for visitors. Not only are the participating traders/businesses benefiting from this initiative, but also the surrounding small and middle outlets can benefit as well," said Siddique. The fair features over 150 renowned exhibitors from China, Egypt, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Malaysia and South Africa showcasing and selling a wide range of products varying from clothing, textile, accessories to home décor and appliances, giftware and more. The fair timings are between 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
