VW sponsors German Breakfast and Catalog Show in Saudi Arabia
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 09 - 05 - 2016

German Catalog Show is aimed at German companies entering the local markets and equally at companies seeking to extend their reach
For the third year running, Volkswagen is sponsoring the annual German Breakfast and Catalog Show, an event that hosts the leading German brands present in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The event is in four cities: Riyadh at the Marriott Hotel last May 5; Jeddah at Albilad Hotel on May 23 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; Dammam at the Asharqia Chamber of Commerce on May 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Jubail at the Asharqia Chamber of Commerce on May 17 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
VIP attendees include the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany Boris Ruge; the Delegate of German Industry and Commerce in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Yemen Oliver Oehms; and the
Chairman of Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dr. Abdulrahman Al Zamil; along with CEOs and General Managers of each German company.
"We are delighted to sponsor the German Breakfast and Catalogue Show for the third time," said Volkswagen and Porsche Executive Director in Saudi Arabia, Michael Muller. "The objective of the event is to enrich the business relationship between German and Saudi companies; emphasizing the importance of a sustainable business connection and environment between both countries. The event is a platform for business opportunities, partnerships and acknowledgment that would last for a long-term with a very prosperous outcome."
He added: "Volkswagen began to sponsor the German Catalog Show in 2013, given Volkswagen's position as a German leader worldwide and in the Kingdom in particular. It is aimed at German companies entering the local markets and equally at companies seeking to extend their reach. The participating companies exhibit their catalogues and company profiles to a broad range of local companies. They also share experiences and ideas and network to deepen existing relations."
The German Breakfast and Catalog Show is organized by the German Saudi Arabian Liaison Office for Economic Affairs (GESALO), the official representative of German Industry and Commerce in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Yemen.
It was founded in 1978 with the mission of supporting and increasing the bilateral economic relations between Germany and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Yemen by organizing business delegations, conferences, business to business talks, roadshows, catalog shows and other events.
