Abdul Quddus stars in SPL T20

JEDDAH — The star of 6th week matches of JCA-SPL T20 Tournament was Mohammad Abdul Quddus (Ather), captain of Pepsi Deccan Knights, who put on an excellent all-round performance by hitting 111 and taking 4-35.
This event is being jointly sponsored by Ace Travel & Tours and Initial Services Group and co-sponsored by ALS Borderless Logistics, Jotun Saudi Arabia, Khind Electronics, Mizo Juices (Arrow Foods), SIPCO (Pepsi) and UT Lines, while it is organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA).
Pepsi Deccan Knights beat Kashmir Stags by 111 runs. Pepsi Deccan Knights, batting first, scored their highest total of the tournament, 294 for 7. Captain Abdul Quddus led from the front with a match-winning innings of 111 off 50 balls (3 sixes and 14 fours). Mazhar (54), Ayaz (46) and Sohail (40) were the other contributors. Zubair and Osman took 2 wickets each for 39 and 52 runs, respectively. In reply, Kashmir Stags could score only 183-8. Waseem top scored with 49, Danish 43, Osman 25 and Tariq 29. Abdul Quddus then took 4 wickets for 35. Man of Match — Mohammad Abdul Quddus.
My Care Hala Premier beat Pak Green by 72 runs. MCH Premier scored 225-5. The run-scoring machine, Shahbaz Rasheed, hit a superb 107 off 52 balls (11 fours and 6 sixes). Qamar and Naeem contributed 41 and 38, respectively. Noman took 3-29. Pak Green was bundled out for 153 in 18.2 overs. Aamir Walah (40) and Aamir Gujjar (36) were among the runs. Jameel had magical figures of 4-33, Osman 3-44 and Imran 2-25. Man of Match — Shahbaz Rasheed.
ACE Travel humbled MB Stars by 10 wickets. MB Stars was bowled out for 95 in 15.4 overs. Ashfaq was the only one to score 22. Abdul Waheed had match-winning figures of 4-21 while Ali had 2-19. ACE Travel was home without losing a wicket in 6.2 overs. Moazzam Shoukath blasted 63 not out in 18 balls (5 sixes & 7 fours). Abdul Waheed remained unbeaten on 24. Man of the Match — Abdul Waheed.
ARM United edged Saudi Oil Company by 27 runs. ARM United put on 168 with Arsalan making 48, Sami Khan 26 and Tabrez 20. Humayun Farooq, Ashiq and Mustafa took 2 wickets each for 27, 20 and 29, respectively. Saudi Oil Company was bowled out for 141 in 18.1 overs. Mohammed Sulaiman scored 40, skipper Humayun Farooq 35 and Mustafa chipped in with 23. Mansoor, Sami Khan and Sadiq Merchant took 3 wickets each for 15, 33 and 34 runs, respectively. Man of the Match — Sami Khan.
My Care Blazers thrashed ALS Warriors by 5 wickets. ALS Warriors scored 149 for 9. Ramazan hit 47 and Talha 37. Arshad picked up 3-20, Chintaqa 2-23 and Shafi 2-32. My Care Blazers reached 151 for 5 in 15.2 overs. Adnan Khan scored 68, while Aleem took 2-36. Man of the Match — Adnan Khan.
Saudi German Hospital thumped ICAD by 8 wickets. ICAD scored 202-8. Mohsin blasted 59, Waqar 51 and Shakeel 21. Bilal Butt, Omar and Izhar took 2 wickets each. Saudi German Hospital scored 205-2 in 17.3 overs. Waqas hit a magnificent unbeaten century (100) in 55 balls (12 fours & four sixes). Omar scored 62 not out in 27 balls with the help of 8 fours and 3 sixes. Man of the Match — Omar.
