Marine Services and ElSeif win in WPCA Summer

JEDDAH — APF, AOT, Nestle Milo, Marine Services, IDB and ElSeif Engineers were all smiles following convincing wins in the 3rd week hostilities of the WPCA Afternoon Summer tournament here.
APF defeated Thales Group by 4 wickets. Thales Group, opting to bat first, posted 146 for 9. Yasir stroked 44, Atif 31 and Amjad Iqbal 31 not out. Ali Ansar took 3-10. APF reached the target of 147 for 6 in 96 balls as Fouad Shams smashed 53 and Ahmed 37 as the two added 100 for the 3rd wicket. Yasir remained unbeaten on 18 and Adnan added 17. Hassan took 3-28.
AOT downed Contraco by 5 wickets. Contraco posted 131 for 8. Babar scored 16, Mohsin 27, Shahbaz 16 and Abbas 17. Aqeel took 3-41, Waqas 2-30 and Naeem 2-28. AOT was home (133) for the loss of 5 wickets in 95 balls. AOT initially lost wickets in a heap to be in tottering at 38 for 4. Qaiser Lateef then compiled 43 and Waqas 38 not out to take their team to glory. Awais took 2-13.
Nestle Milo beat Fuchs Alhamrani by 18 runs. Nestle Milo racked up 206 for 5. Aijaz Butt scored 22 and Abdullah Zahid 52 in 27 balls as the two added 67. Azeem retired after making 41, Sherbahadur added 26, Basharat 23 not out, Imran Sarwar 18 and Bilal 17 not out. Mansoor had 3-35. Fuchs Alhamrani was left stranded at 188 for 6. Irfan Anjum blasted 26, Nazaish Gondal 25, Mansoor 28, Khooban 46 and Mohsin 26. Abdullah Zahid took 2-18.
Marine Services had the better of OMD Tuskers by 7 wickets. OMD Tuskers posted 163 for 4. Yashik Alangad made 15, Anzer 28, Khadiry top scored with 72 not out and Mahesh 18. Yasir grabbed 2-36. Marine Services reached the target (164) for the loss of 3 wickets in 92 balls. Ahmed hit 23, Kashif 39, Moiz unbeaten 42, Yasir 28 and Shakeel unbeaten 18.
IDB trounced Jotun Paints by 7 wickets. IDB achieved the target of 166 for 3 in 105 balls as Khawar Sohail hammered 62 and Rahat Ali Choudhry 59 as the duo added 102 for the opening stand. Usman Gulab remained unbeaten on 20. Wajid took 2-43.
ElSeif Company had the last laugh against Awesome XI by 4 wickets. Awesome XI, opting to bat, posted 150 for 8. Shakir hit 31 as he added 93 with Abdulrehman (62). Asad hit 15 and Farhad 16. Aijaz grabbed 3-22 and Irfan 3-24.
ElSeif in chase took 109 balls to get to 151 for 6 to win. Tanveer scored 56 as he first added 50 with Maqsood (34) and then 57 with Arshad (24).
