Published in The Saudi Gazette on 27 - 04 - 2016

Ahmad Farroukh, CEO of Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) underscored the importance of economic transformation which the Council of Ministers headed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz has approved, and announced by the Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.
Farroukh said the transformation urges the diversity of economic income which is fundamental for the strength of the Saudi economy and its sustainability on the long term.
He emphasized that the ambitious vision of the Saudi leadership delineates the features of a strong and solid economy by 2030 and puts it in the ranks of developed countries of the world, especially since the "Saudi Vision" will establish a great balance and aims to bring about a significant development in the human resources.
Farroukh said Mobily is proud to be part of this important strategic vision since it is one of the national organizations and it will keep pace with the requirements of economic plans and will harness its infrastructure and services to support the goals of "Vision 2030". Mobily operates now the largest data centers infrastructure in the region, covering more than one million users via FTTH network and aims to develop other broadband technologies, which gives Mobily readiness to proceed with the new requirements.
Mobily's CEO further said the company is totally interested in Saudi calibers and provides them with the best possible support through launching development programs that are consistent with the requirements of global telecom market. He stressed that the keenness of "Saudi Vision 2030" to nationalize jobs is one of the most important reasons for Saudi human resources development, and this is the case in Mobily who recruited outstanding national competencies in the field.
Mobily's CEO added "the Saudi Vision 2030" will have a positive impact on both governmental and private sectors, and aims to enhance the performance of the governmental organizations, stimulate the efficiency of the investment ecosystem and all these factors will contribute to the increase of the Saudi economy strength, especially that the Kingdom has all the necessary constituents."
