KING Khalid International Airport (KKIA) in Riyadh achieved fifth place in first quarter of this year's ranking of international airports in the Middle East for quality of service. The ASQ Awards ranking was according to a program evaluation by Airport Council International (ACI) to measure the quality of services provided by international airports. This is the first time in the history of KKIA where it advanced to a high-ranking. It scored 4.12 out of 5, a difference of only 0.03 from Dubai Airport which scored fourth in the rankings. Abdul-Aziz Abuharba, KKIA Director, stressed that the airport has achieved high results in the majority of the evaluation categories and was the highest in terms of operational efficiency and security; also those relating to the travel procedures, passport control and the quality of services provided to the traveling public. He added the latest achievement of the airport indicates the keenness of our wise leadership in all things that benefits the development of air transport in the Kingdom. This was the fruit of the effort and commitment of all those working at the airport in order to provide the best services for the travelers. The airport will bring better and higher result in the coming period, he added, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation Suliman Alhamdan and his assistant for Airports, Eng. Tariq Alabdaljabar for their unlimited support to the development of the airport and for the improvement of the services provided to the traveling public.
