Kane lifts Blackhawks over Bruins
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 05 - 04 - 2016

Patrick Kane scored a hat trick and dished an assist to reach the 100-point milestone for the first time in his career, and the Chicago Blackhawks held on for a 6-4 win over the Boston Bruins Sunday afternoon.
Artemi Panarin scored a goal and tallied three assists for the Blackhawks, who jumped to a 6-0 lead before Boston responded with four straight goals.
Artem Anisimov finished with a goal and two assists for Chicago (46-26-7).
Penguins 6, Flyers 2: Matt Murray made 28 saves to win for the second day in a row, Sidney Crosby scored yet another goal against Philadelphia and the Pittsburgh Penguins remained the NHL's hottest team, defeating the Flyers 6-2.
The Penguins, already assured of making the playoffs, won a season high-tying sixth in a row and 12th in 13 games to cool off the Flyers, who were on a 13-3-2 surge that elevated them to the Eastern Conference's No. 2 wild-card position.
Blues 5, Avalanche 1: David Backes scored early in a three-goal first period, Vladimir Tarasenko had two assists, and the St. Louis Blues beat the reeling Colorado Avalanche 5-1.
Alex Pietrangelo, Troy Brouwer, Colton Parayko and Magnus Paajarvi also had goals for the Blues, who lost goalie Jake Allen to an undisclosed injury.
Jets 5, Wild 1: The Winnipeg Jets ruined the party for the Minnesota Wild.
Jets center Andrew Copp and right-wingers Drew Stafford and Blake Wheeler scored third-period goals to solidify a 5-1 victory over the Wild at MTS Centre.
Ducks 3, Stars 1: Nate Thompson and Ryan Kesler scored short-handed goals to give the Anaheim Ducks a 3-1 victory over the Dallas Stars in front of 16,585 at the Honda Center.
Ryan Getzlaf added an empty-net goal and goalie John Gibson stopped 25 shots for the Ducks (44-24-10), who used their fourth win in five games to move into first place in the Pacific Division by one point over the idle Los Angeles Kings. — Reuters
