ALL eyes are set on the inaugural edition of the 4th edition of PR Arabia Auto Awards for cars, the most coveted award for the Saudi automotive industry. Senior management executives from the entire industry have confirmed their attendance and are eagerly waiting in anticipation for the final results to be announced in a glittering gala awards night on the last week of April, 2016. The awards ceremony will be inaugurated by Prince Sultan Bin Bandar Al Faisal, president of the Saudi Arabian Motor Federation. "PR Arabia Award is a key platform for automotive brands in Saudi Arabia and we look forward to finding out how auto competitors have made an impact in the market," said Waleed Karanouh, managing director, PR Arabia Awards. "We are very pleased to have various nominations for the award and wish everyone the best of luck," he added. Speaking of the attendance of president of the Saudi Arabian Motor Federation, he said, "For the second year in a row the President of the Saudi Arabian Motor Federation is gracing the event and this really proves the big role this award is playing in encouraging and honoring those who contribute to the auto industry." The nominees underwent a stringent selection process that lasted almost seven months by a select panel of judges, who were handpicked to represent their respective industries. According to Karnaouh, the fourth survey on Auto Awards for the year 2015-2016 has been already launched on the social networking sites, including Twitter and Facebook covering opinions of the public on their favorite cars based on categories. He added that a specialized committee drawn from Saudi media men and auto experts will handle the survey and announce the final results. Awards will cover the following categories: Best program for sports car, best media reporter on auto journalism, best car funding program, best car dealer (agent), best traffic safety program, best car (normal and luxury) with three branches — sedan (family), sports, and 4-WD.
