RIYADH — Bazm-e-Riaz celebrates Pakistan day with great fervor at Knowledge core, the educational hub of Riyadh and launched its Bazm Café to commemorate monthly-based innovative sessions. The chief guest of the occasion was Pakistani Military and Defense Attaché to Kingdom Brig. Shahid Manzoor. Tanvir Mian acting president of Bazm presided over the event. The program formally started with the recitation of verses from the holy Quran by Salman Siddiqui and a Naat by Dr. Saeed Ahmed Waince. In his opening remarks Bazm's chief coordinator Waqar Wamiq introduced the idea of Bazm Cafe', "We will conduct monthly based innovative sessions on different subjects at Café that can bring knowledge based ideas and positivity in their lifestyles and to motivate peoples to play their constructive roles for the betterment of the society," he said. Brig. Shahid Manzoor formally inaugurated the Bazm Cafe' in a short and elegant ribbon cutting ceremony. Bazm's executive Sarhan Mustafa presented a bouquet to the chief guest. The welcome note was given by the Bazm's executive member Sajida Chaudhary. She said: "Our Bazm is for all those remarkable people from whom we can learn from and for all those talented peoples who can actively contribute in the betterment of the society." Speaking about the Pakistan day Sajida said: "We need to participate constructively in the development of Pakistan not only adhere it to celebrate as a tradition only. Pakistan day taught us to move in positive direction in order to achieve the destination." Executive member of Bazm Tasneem Amjad enlightened the vision of Quaid-e-Azam and paid rich tributes to the founders of Pakistan. "Pakistan day resolution was based on two nations theory, Quaid was the great supporter of this theory and on March 23, 1940 this great resolution was passed and within only seven years on August 14, 1947 Pakistan came into being as a Muslim country. We all should follow the principles and teachings of our great Quaid to strength our country," she said. New members Iftekhar Awan, Asim Zafar, Ahtesham Ahmed, Imran Rana, RJ Fawad, Sajida Chaudhary, Tasneem Amjad, Dr. Tariq Aziz and Dr. Hina Ambreen were introduced to the members. RJ Fawad recited some famous couplets of legendary poet Allama Iqbal and stressed to the audience to follow the philosophy of Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam. He then presented a short introduction of Tasaduq Gilani, general secretary of Bazm-e-Riaz and the main speaker of the inaugural session of Bazm Café'. Gilani presented his presentation on the topic of "Improving soft skills with impact", which was highly appreciated by the audience. His motivational presentation was mainly focused on the development of human skills and betterment in daily lifestyles. Chief Guest Brig. Shahid Manzoor extolled the efforts of Bazm-e-Riaz and congratulated Bazm on the inauguration of Bazm café, He stated it as the need of the hour. "Such motivational and educational activities are the need of the hour, we are having so much talent in our nation and through these kind of sessions we can explore and improve our talents," he said. Brig. Shahid was very upbeat about the progress of Pakistan. "Pakistan is a God-gifted country, it has unlimited resources and our nation has great potential to excel in the world, Let us reiterate our resolve to make Pakistan a role model for the world." Mian thanked the audience in his vote of thanks. "We welcome you all in our mission of making a better society, it is important to promote education, tolerance and brotherhood. We must work hard to achieve our target of better and prosperous Pakistan," the acting president said.
