Al-Saudi and IDB continue to rise in WPCA

JEDDAH — Al-Saudi XI and IDB won their encounters in the WPCA Premier 35-over tournament, while 6 matches were played in the Afternoon T20 here.
Premier Tournament
Al-Saudi XI defeated ALS Warriors by 6 wickets. ALS Warriors, put into bat, scored 283. Mohammed Amjad Butt hit 46, Emaduddin 73, Shahbaz 46, while Ramazan and Abdulaleem identical 22. Asif grabbed 4-75 and Noman 3-30. Al-Saudi reached 284 for four. Fouad Shams slammed 79 in 49 balls as he first added 67 with Kamran (37) and then 116 with Humayun (62). Noman hammered an unbeaten 44. Talha, Ramazan, Shahbaz and Abdul Aleem claimed one wicket each.
IDB thrashed MCC by 85 runs. IDB racked up 298 for 4. Waleed smashed 7 fours to compile 52 and Mustafa 70 as the duo added 82. Junaid Hashim remained unbeaten on 59 and Irfan Shah on 71 as they added 134 for the unbroken 5th wicket. Ijaz took 3-44. MCC was bowled out for 213. Faisal scored 55, Imran 47, Khawar Sohail 19 and Ejaz 21. Hashim Khan grabbed 3-47, Usman Gulab 2-19 and Mustafa 2-38. Junaid Hashim took 4 victims.
Afternoon T20
OMD Tuskers edged past AMI Juffali by one run. OMD Tuskers produced 132, thanks to Yashiq Alangad making 21, Adnan 17, Qadri 21 and Shafiq Saleem 28. Osman Meher grabbed 4-33 and Zafar 2-12.
AMI Juffali, in reply, was left stranded at 131 for 9 despite Shabour making 38 and Rafi Gujjar 34 as the two added 60. Juffali lost 7 wickets for 50 runs that settled the match in favor of the Tuskers. Yashiq Alangad scalped 4-21 and Shafiq Ambu 2-25.
Thales Group also cruised past AGA by a solitary run. Thales Group was bowled out for 145. Umar Farooq scored 29, Malik 20 and Mohammad 45. Fazal Shah was the most successful bowler with 5 for 15.
AGA was restricted to 144 for 6. Waqas hammered 54, while Noor Alam and Muzammil scored 24 each. Amjad Iqbal was the pick of the bowlers with 4-37 and Yasir 2-27.
Marine Services trounced Fuchs Alhamrani by 3 wickets. Fuchs produced 187 for 5 with Mansoor Ahmad remaining unbeaten on 57 while Moshin hit 35, Nazaish Mardi 31, Nasir Khan 25 and Irfan Anjum 15. Shakeel claimed 2-37 and Moeez 2-55.
Marine Services achieved the winning target (188) for 7. Kashif notched 36, Sohail 36, Shakeel 34 not out, Ahmad 20 and Moeez 15. Saqib took 2-19 and Irfan 2-32.
UCC prevailed over Harsco Baroom by 5 wickets. Harsco Baroom was bundled out for 118 with Saqib making 25, Mansoor 20 and Imran 30. Yasir Ameen claimed 4 for 25, Ahmad Faraz 2-14 and Amir Mughal 2-13. UCC reached 121 for 5 to win as Ali hit 40 and Ahmad Faraz 26. Azam took 2-37.
Al-Safri thrashed Hyderabad Strikers by 5 wickets. Hyderabad Strikers posted 164 for 6. Adnan scored 32, Irfan Ayazuddin a quick-fire 51, Saeed 34 and Afridi 20 not out. Muneeb Anwar took 2-39. Al-Safri took 105 balls to overhaul the target (168) for 5. Muneeb Anwar got to his fifty off 15 balls. He eventually compiled 63 in 23 balls. Manjeet Kumar remained unbeaten on 46. Adnan took 2-16 and Noor 2-21.
Waqas XI humbled Azizya Elegant by 53 runs. Waqas Malik XI batted first to rack up 205. Azizya Elegant, in reply, was left stranded at 152. Ali Awan hit 42, Raja Atif 41, Fahad Hashmi 20 and Samar 16. Abdulrazzaque grabbed 3 for 29 and Tauseef 3 for 31.
