The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will launch its Shariah-compliant stock index at the Stock Forum of the Muslim World later this year, said Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, Secretary General of the organization. In a press statement on Monday, he said the index will stimulate investment in OIC member states. Ihsanoglu added that this year will also see the establishment of the Union of Agricultural Industries of Islamic Countries and the Islamic Center for Businessmen.
