Envoy Haq lauds achievements of Pakistani school in Al-Khobar

ALKHOBAR — Pakistan International School, an oldest and an eminent Pakistani school, here held its 49th annual prize distribution function on school's premises. The Chief Guest of the function in the boys' wing was Pakistan Ambassador Manzoor Ul Haq. The Ambassador's wife Nighat Manzoor was the Chief Guest in the girls' wing.
Syed Hammad Abid, Community Welfare Attache and Link Officer of the school, and his wife Ayesha Hammad too attended the events in the boys' wing and girls wing respectively as guests of honor.
Some high officials of Saudi Ministry of Education, Dammam, including Awwad Al-Malki (Director General), Hussain Maqbool (Inspector of International Schools) and Mubarak Bubshait (former Director of Education) also attended the function in the boys' wing and enhanced the beauty of the event.
Toppers and position holders from both the wings of the school were honored with prizes on the occasion. Those who had topped the board's SSC and HSSC exams were awarded gold medals.
A large number of parents, distinguished community members, members of the school's administration, teachers and staff also attended the function. Niaz Ahmad Chaudry, principal of the school, welcomed the honorable guests in the boys' wing while Mrs. Naheed Shahzad, vice principal, girls' wing, welcomed the honorable guests in the girls' wing.
The principal presented annual report in the boys' wing and the vice principal of the girls' wing, presented the annual report in the girls' wing. Both highlighted the school's accomplishments during the past academic year and informed the gathering of the future plans of the school for the next academic year.
The Chief Guests, in boys' and girls' wings, appreciated the efforts of the teachers in producing good results. They expressed their satisfaction and congratulated the position holders from both the wings of the school. They gave away prizes to the outstanding students for their commendable performance in academic and co-academic activities. Teachers who had produced excellent results were also honored. Long service awards to the teachers and staff were also given.
Different songs and skits were special features of the events in both the wings of the school which the chief guests and the honorable gathering appreciated a lot.
Pakistan Ambassador and his wife lauded the efforts of the principal, school's administration and teaching staff for providing quality education to the children of the community. They called upon the administration to continue their efforts for providing quality education in the school and bringing good name to the institution.
In the end, the principal of the school, on behalf of the school's administration and teachers, expressed his thanks to the Pakistan Ambassador for his continuous support and guidance to make this school a better learning institution and presented him ‘the shield of thankfulness'.
