Thousands of Yemeni nationals in the southwestern governorate of Taiz staged a march after noon prayers Friday carrying placards saying "The Storm of Thanks". The march was intended to express thanks and appreciation to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman for his initiatives that rescued Yemen from the Houthi and the forces of deposed president Ali Abdullah Saleh, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said. It quoted the Yemeni News Agency as saying that the masses chanted "Thanks! Thanks! King Salman!" (Shukran Shukran Ya Salman!), which has become a slogan for the resistance, a symbol for steadfastness and boding well for life. The procession coincides with the swift victories achieved by the forces of the legitimate government at all fronts with support and sacrifices by the Arab coalition countries headed by the Kingdom. The blood of the heroes — the sons of the Kingdom and the Yemenis – got mixed in the same battle of destiny. The Houthi and Saleh militias were forced to retreat and their ambitions aiming at restoring the ugly Imam era disappeared. The agency quoted the head of the ‘Shukran Salman' campaign Nasser Al-Ashari as saying that the march comes within the programs and activities of the Yemeni popular campaign to thank the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. It started since the first week of ‘Decisive Storm' which began last March. The campaign had various programs and activities in a number of cities in Yemen and abroad. — SPA
