Batsmen shine in Mumtaz Champs Trophy

Game Pro, Mehran, Shaheen, Pure Health, Fakhre Afghan, Diamond 1, Diamond 2, Royal Fighter, Deccan Knights, Kokan and Run Riderz registered wins in the third week of the Mumtaz Champions Trophy, organized by Riyadh Cricket League (RCL) and sponsored by Mumtaz Group.
Players those who excelled with the bat were Osman (138), Khawar (114) and Amir (101), while Hafiz (5-21) and Basith (3-6) impressed with the ball.
Mehran CC beat Gujranwala CC by 71 runs. Batting first Mehran CC made 226. Osman was the top scorer with 138. Altaf supported him with 37.
In reply, Gujranwala had a great start with Sahbaan making 50. Kamran contributed 39. But Mehran fought back and won by 71 runs. Basrath took 3 wickets. Man of the Match: Osman.
Shaheen CC got the better of National CC by 250 runs. Batting first, Saheen CC made a mammoth 302 through Khawar (114), Mudassar (77) and Sahkil (64). Naveed took 2 wickets.
In reply, National CC failed to reach the target. Abid top scored with 18, supported by Kamran (12). Shaheen CC bowlers maintained an excellent line and length to bundle out National for 52. Basrath took 3 wickets. Man of the Match: Khawar.
Diamond 1 CC got the better of Jamia by 46 runs. Batting first, Diamond tallied 189. Sahafi and Mirza put up a good partnership in the middle order. Shafi scored 48 and Mirza 46. Amjed took 3 wickets.
In reply, Jamia failed to chase the total and fell short by 46 runs. Riyaz hit 36 and Ashfaq 24. Nisar claimed 2 wickets and Mustaq 2. Man of the Match: Mirza Rahmathullah.
Game Pro downed Riyadh Blues by 13 runs. Batting first, Game Pro made 178. Moiz was the top scorer with 68, followed by Imran (30). Shakeel grabbed two wickets.
In reply, Riyadh Blues had a great start with Zaheeruddin hitting 55, Mir Hafeez 28 and Himayat 22. But later, Game Pro fought back and won by 13 runs. Mustafa and Madhu took 3 wickets each. Man of the Match: Mustafa.
Royal Fighter defeated Mazaya Hyd Boys by 4 runs. Batting first, Royal Fighter made 158. Tausif led the Fighter with 53. Tanvir chipped in with 40.
In reply, Mazaya Hyd Boys had a fine start with Shoib blasting 49 and Ismial 41. But RFCC fought back and won by 4 runs. Tausif recorded a hat trick. Hafiz took 2 wickets. Man of the Match: Tausif.
