Mumtaz Champs Trophy kicks off in style

Riyadh Blues, Mehran, Evergreen, Jamiaa, Konkan Green, Fakhre Afghan, Deccan Knights, Cricketers and SACO registered wins in the first week action of the inaugural Mumtaz T20 Champions Trophy, sponsored by Mumtaz Group of Companies and organized by RCL.
Riyadh Blues beat National by 6 wickets. National posted 137 with Salman scoring 69 and Afzal 29. Mohammed Shakeel took 4 wickets and Naseer 1. In reply, Riyadh Blues made short work of the total and reached the target in 12.5 overs. Mohammed Shakeel top scored with 62 and Zahiruddin Khalid added 31. Ashraf managed 2 wickets. Man of the Match: Mohammed Shakeel.
Evergreen Sixers downed Telengana Warriors by 4 wickets. Warriors put on 228 thanks to a splendid century (111) by Taher. Faizan added 53. Khawar took 2 wickets and Jamshed 1. Evergreen was home in 19.4 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Zubair blasted 79 and Khawar 47. Taher took two wickets. Man of the Match: Zubair.
Mehran defeated Shaheen by 51 runs. Mehran scored 206, thanks to a splendid opening partnership where Usman hit 65 and Altaf 50. Khawar and Farooq took one wicket each. Shaheen could score only 156. Shakeel made 54 and Naeem 28. Asad, Jehanzeb and Usman took two wickets each. Man of the Match: Usman. Konkan Green defeated Khalili Stars by 22 runs. Konkan Green scored 208 with Mansoor making 55 and Faiq 43. Aziz and Afzal took 2 wickets.
Khalili Stars was restricted to 186. Aziz notched 57 and Ashraf 67. Faiq took three wickets. Man of the Match: Faiq.
Jamiaa thrashed Maestro by 5 wickets. Maestro scored 201 for 4. Riyaz top scored with 70 and Ashfaq added 39. Nisar and Mustafa took two wickets each. Jamiaa achieved the target with Ejaz scoring 73 and Mudassir 42. Ashfaq and Imran managed one wicket each. Man of the Match: Ejaz.
Fakhre Afghan edged South Indian Stunnerz by 19 runs. Fakhre Afghan made 176 as Malang scored 62 and Rehman 24. Arif and Shoaib took two wickets each. South Indian Stunnerz could score only 157. Asghar etched 42 and Lateef 24. Abdul Rahman, Hilal and Zakariya took three wickets each. Man of the Match: Malanag.
SACO beat Diamond II by 3 wickets. Diamond posted 161 thanks to Javed, who hit 91. Akram swept through Diamond lineup with 3 wickets and Uday took 2. SACO chased down the target as Uday hit 64 and Akram 22 runs. Azhar, Taj and Tabrez took two wickets each. Man of the Match: Uday.
Deccan Knights thumped Woodbridge by 7 wickets. WCC mustered 115 with lone contribution coming from Muzau (28). Tousif scalped 4 wickets. Deccan Knights was home for the loss of three wickets. Kamran scored 60 and Tallah 22. Rafi took 1 wicket. Man of the Match: Tousif.
Cricketers got the better of Kashmir by 50 runs. Cricketers managed 150 with Salman scoring 44 and Aamir 29. Babar took 3 wickets and Ijaz 2. Kashmir could manage only 101. Babar scored 37. Shoiab took 3 wickets and Salman 2. Man of the Match: Salman.
