The Royal Thai Consulate General in Jeddah, in cooperation with Thai community in Western region of Saudi Arabia, organized the National Children's Day (Jan. 9) at the Consulate's premises on Saturday. Three hundred and fifty children and their parents living in Jeddah and Makkah participated in this event. Acting Thai Consul General, Muhamad Lutfee Useng, spoke on the occasion "Children are the future of our nation and the young are in the hands of older people who should become good role models and know how to take care of them, because the children will automatically learn from older people and adopt their behavior. Therefore, it is also the older people who are responsible for the country's future," said Useng. After the speech, children showed their talents in various presentations and participated in many games like musical chairs, and sack race. The children also exchanged gifts with each other and enjoyed food and drinks prepared by the consulate and Thai community.
