The Shoura Council on Tuesday approved the draft agreement between the Kingdom and Indonesia for hiring domestic workers. The draft agreement contains provisions to guarantee rights of both employers and domestic help in a way establishing better contractual relations between them, following the pattern of the draft agreements approved earlier by the Council to hire domestic workers from India, the Philippines and Sri Lanka, the Saudi Press Agency reported. The Council session was chaired by its President Abdullah Al-Asheikh. The Council listened to a report from the committee for administration and human resources with regard to the draft agreement, according to Yahya Al-Samaan, assistant president. The report, prepared by the committee and read out by its Chairman Muhammad Al-Noqadi, consists of some amendments in the original draft. The amendments were based on the viewpoints and suggestions of the Shoura members during their deliberations on the draft agreement in the two previous sessions of the Council. Al-Samaan said the Council appreciated the statement adopted by the Federal National Council of UAE pledging full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and backing its measures to combat terrorism and extremism. The statement denounced Iran's blatant intervention in the internal affairs of the Kingdom and attacks on its diplomatic missions. The Council also lauded the statement adopted by Bahrain's Shoura Council in condemning the Iranian aggression on the Saudi embassy and consulate in Iran.
