A fuel truck leaked gas after it toppled over the Madinah-Tabuk Road here creating panic among road users. Civil Defense personnel cleared the area after the truck began leaking fuel it was carrying onto the road. Officers sprayed the area with water to ensure that no area was left flammable. There were no injuries recorded. Man critically injured in Tabuk hit and run TABUK — A man was severely injured after he was struck by a car in a hit and run accident. Tabuk Red Crescent spokesman Khalid Al-Enizi said the Red Crescent received reports of the accident in Al-Rowdah District. Paramedics arrived at the scene to find the victim, believed to be in his 40s, had been struck by a vehicle. The man was rushed to hospital and is in critical condition. Police are investigating the incident. 3 arrested in Jazan for robbing store JAZAN — Police arrested three men for robbing a car accessories store here. Jazan Police spokesman Lt. Gen. Mohammad Al-Harbi said the store owner reported that over SR20,000 in cash had been stolen from his store. Police later arrested three suspects, two of them were Arab expatriates who had entered the Kingdom on visit visas while the third man had no identity. The stolen money was returned to the store owner and the thieves were detained for further questioning. Asian worker dies inside elevator MAKKAH — A 33-year-old Asian worker died a natural death while he was in an elevator. Makkah Police spokesman Col. Ati Al-Qurashi said police received reports of a man who died inside an elevator in an apartment building in Al-Aziziyah District. An autopsy revealed that there was no sign of force or struggle on the body to indicate a homicide. The forensics' report concluded the man had died a natural death. Staff reloading ATM robbed at gunpoint DAMMAM — A man stole an unspecified amount of cash as bank employees were stocking money into an ATM here. Eastern Province Police spokesman Col. Ziyad Al-Ruqaiti said the bank employees told police they were robbed at gunpoint as they were reloading the ATM with cash. Police are still searching for the thief. Six held after crashing vehicle into police car JEDDAH — Police arrested six men after they crashed into a police vehicle and the fled the scene. A Jeddah Police source said a car without license plates crashed into a police vehicle on the Makkah-Taif Road. The driver immediately fled the scene and police had been searching for him. They later spotted another vehicle towing the car that had crashed into the police vehicle. Police arrested the driver who crashed into the vehicle and five of his accomplices as they were helping him hide his car. All six suspects were Saudis.
