Rizwan slams 228 in Saudi Orix tourney

RIYADH — Rizwan Manzoor smashed an unbeaten 228 in round three of the RCA Saudi Orix Tournament here.
Al-Kharaj League
In the 40-over championship, Riyadh Aces beat CKK in a nail-biting finish. Rizwan Manzoor's master class 228 not out helped Riyadh Aces chased down 349. CKK posted 349 with Najeeb smashing an outstanding 115. Kashif blasted 78. Khalil picked up 3 wickets and Zohaib 2. Riyadh Aces reached the target in 38.4 overs. Rizwan smashed 228 off 103 balls with 22 fours and 12 sixes. Zohaib added 38 and Sheheryar 33. Nabeel, Ali, Imran and Saud claimed 2 wickets each.
Sama Steel defeated Lahore Badshah by 50 runs. Batting first, Sama Steel put on 342 for 9. Nasir was unlucky to miss out on a century. He scored 97. Asif hit 42. Fahad, Imran, Shoaib and Yasir scalped 2 wickets each. Lahore Badshah were restricted to 292. Fahad (87) and Usman (61) scored fifties. Imran added 40 and Adnan 41. Farhan picked up 4 wickets, while Qaiser, Raja and Asif grabbed 2 each.
Huraymala League
Cricket Samarwa thumped Aisco by 6 wickets. Aisco made 104 as Shahid top scored with 21. Amjad, Aamir and Aasif clinched 2 wickets each. Cricket Samarwa was home in 20 overs. Aasif (31) and Hafiz (28) lead the team to victory. Israr grabbed 2 wickets.
Riyadh Warriors humbled Riyadh Fighters by 7 wickets. Riyadh Fighters scored 193. Imran top scored with 55 and Yasir 34. Shakeel was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets. Imran took 3. Riyadh Warriors reached the target in 17.4 overs. Asif (77) and Aziz (51) smashed fifties.
Hyderabadi Warriors registered a 6-wicket win over Imran XI. Imran XI collected 166. Hyderabadi Warriors reached 170 in 13.3 overs. Maqbool blasted 109 off 39 balls. Mubashir helped with 26. Hasrath took 2 wickets.
KFSH Green lost to AKCC by 8 wickets. KFSH Green notched 130. Safder top
scored with 40, while Adnan and Suhail mustered 27 and 22, respectively.
Kamal picked up 4 wickets. Kamran and Nadeem took 2 each. AKCC won the match in 15th over as Imran hit 34, Adnan 40 and Kamran 32. Tahir bagged 2 wickets.
Hayer League
Punjab Stars cruised to victory over Watan Pal by 22 runs. Punjab Stars piled up 151. Roshan (32) and Nauman (31) were among the runs. Fazal took a hat trick, while Sulaiman and Zain claimed 2 each. Watan Pal managed 129. Murad (51) and Quraish (33) displayed some fight. Asif's 4 wickets were the highlight of match, while Zaheer took 2.
TBCC lost to Pakhtunkhwa Gladiators by 3 runs. Pakhtunkhwa Gladiators scored 156 with Israr scoring 38 and Irshad 24. Hakeem picked up 4 wickets. TBCC was restricted to 153. Ashif (37), Shareef (33) and Faisal (27) batted well. Abdullah Khan bowled an outstanding spell to claim a 5-wicket haul.
Tigers downed Smashers by 2 wickets. Smashers collected 203. Tahir top scored with 84 and Khurram added 30. Salish and Sharaf took 2 wickets each. Tigers scored the required 204 in 19.2 overs. Kamran smashed 96. Arham and Sharaf mustered 30 each. Raheel took 3, while Zain and Fahim scalped 2 each.
