RIYADH — Younus and Aziz hit centuries in second round matches of the American Express T20 Tournament, organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) and sponsored by American Express.
Huraymala League
Sulaiman-XI thumped Kohsar by 8 runs. Sulaiman-XI piled up 216-8 as Ansar (70), Mudassar (60), Afzal (40) and Shakeel (41) batted well. Kohsar chased well to make 208-9. Sulaiman, Shakeel, Afzal and Mukhtaar picked up 2 wickets each.
Riyadh Fighters humbled Stallions by 43 runs. Riyadh Fighters put on 229. Imran Younus scored a fine century (118). Iftikhar (41) and Butt (30) also batted well. Stallions were bowled out for 186 in 19.5 overs. Yasir was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets. Iftikhar and Bilal got 2 wickets each. Cricket Samarwa registered a 31-run victory over Hyderabadi Warriors.
Cricket Samarwa tallied 214. Uzair top scored with 59. Abu Baker contributed 37 and Zafar 34. Yousef claimed 2 wickets. Hyderabadi Warriors were restricted to 183. Shahnawaz scored 44. Naeem grabbed 3 wickets, while Amjad and Zafar got 2 each.
KFSH Green crushed Patriots by 4 wickets. Patriots scored a meager 145 through Abdullah (52) and Adil (33). Mansoor and Rafaqat claimed 3 wickets each, while Tahir got 2. KFSH Green won the match in 17.2 overs as Sohail (32) and Noor (26) steered the team to victory. Adil took 3 wickets and Ayaz 2.
Fuchs beat Dirab Golf Club by 6 wickets. Dirab Golf Club collected 161. Aurangzaib smashed 53 and Tauseef 30. Mustaqeem bowled well to pick up 5 wickets. Fuchs rushed to the target in 17 overs. Waqas contributed 51, Arif 38 and Javed 35. Imran took 2 wickets.
Fonte Star thrashed Pak Force by 7 wickets. Pak Force posted 161 through Gohar (50) and Rizwan (33). Ali, Ayaz and Ghulam claimed 2 wickets each. Fonte Star won the game in 18.2 overs. Yasir (56) and Waheed (40) were the main scorers. Asif took 2 wickets.
Super CC won against L'usine by 6 wickets. L'usine was all out for 191. Ali top scored with 52. Talal and Abdul Rauf hit 26 and 25, respectively. Shafiq picked up 3 wickets and Adnan 2. Super CC scored the required 192 in just 15.3 overs. Khawar maintained his form, scoring 87. Shafiq made 46. Azam took 2 wickets.
Hayer League
Pak Eagles cruised to a 5-wicket victory over Indian Strikers. Indian Strikers put on 161 through Aneesh (35) and Faiz (26). Ijaz was the pick of the bowlers with 5 wickets. Farooq grabbed 3. Pak Eagles chased down the target in 17.5 overs.
FAST humbled Kingdom Warriors by 43 runs. FAST tallied 195. Imtiyaz hammered 64 and Aijaz 38. Kingdom Warriors were all out for 152. Hussain took 4 wickets and Majeed 2.
Kashmir Strikers defeated Pakhtunkhwa Gladiators by 6 wickets. Pakhtunkhwa Gladiators batted first and posted 169. Qasim (56) and Bilal (51) scored fifties. Majed took 4 wickets and Aamer 2. Kashmir Strikers won the match in 16.4 overs.
Mudassir (59) and Arif (30) took the team to victory. In a thrilling contest, Pak Saudi Warriors won against Bannu Eagles by 10 runs. Pak Saudi Warriors racked up 184. Shahzeb scored 35 and Ajaz 28. Wasi Ullah grabbed 4 wickets. Bannu Eagles managed 174 in 16 overs as 4 overs were deducted from their quota. Aziz remained unbeaten on 103. Raza claimed 3 wickets, while Bilal got 2.
Aisco lost to White Star by 23 runs. White Star posted 220. Qasim (53) and Asif (50) smashed fifties. Amjad took 4 wickets. Aisco was restricted to 197. Amjad smashed 69. Naeem picked up 4 wickets.
