Annual Spelling Bee 2015 is another shinning feather in the cap of Manarat International Girls Section, when primary students in grades 4, 5, 6 competed in an inter-class level competition to win the title of the Best Speller. Principal Mrs. Wafaa Ashmawi said the competition not only fosters the school's mission "to develop academic and social skills" but also "develops exemplary character". She appreciated the competition claiming it exhibits a spectacular show of talented young learners, well trained by the teachers, ready to accept all challenges. She was proud and impressed by the immaculate ability of the students who faced the challenge in many rounds and amazed the audience with their word power. The principal also encouraged the participants and believed that each one of them was a winner. The program set in the theme of yellow and black, displayed the busy bees in all aspects. An art competition was also conducted for the students and all the exhibits featured the talent of all students in various ways. Mrs. Wafaa thanked the mothers for their continuous support in the endeavor to establish high standards of education by nurturing their daughters to compete in the healthy sportsmanship. She appreciated the English department of the school for its meticulous preparation of the co-curricular event and for setting high expectations for students enabling them to fulfill their dream.
