Saudi Gazette A good painting besides adorning walls, also provides good company and inspiration. Several school girls in Taif possess a gift for art and creativity that deserves to be honored. Ten beautiful exquisite paintings of these girls have brought color to the dreary brown walls of the building of Directorate General of Girls' Education in Taif. The paintings have readily served two purposes - they have beautified the exterior wall of the government office and have given the residents of the small town incredible artwork, from young girls, to admire for hours. They are remarkably a great source of inspiration. The Director General of Education in Taif, Mohammad Saad Abo Ras, said that the idea came from the girls' administration to make constructive use of these truly remarkable paintings. The idea was warmly welcomed and the Director of Education plans to decorate many government buildings with these luminous drawings. This will also save buildings from graffiti scrawled across the walls by mischievous boys. “Placing the paintings on the walls of government buildings is one way of publicizing the girls' talents, encouraging our students, and supporting them to further develop their skills,” said Abo Ras. __
