Tetra Pak launches solutions that make a difference for customers
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 28 - 10 - 2015

Tetra Pak, the leading food processing and packaging solutions company, presents its latest innovations at this year's ongoing Gulfood Manufacturing trade exhibition taking at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Amar Zahid, President, Greater Middle East & Africa (GME&A) for Tetra Pak, said: "This year we have chosen ‘The Difference' as the theme. This is because as a partner to the dairy and beverage industry, our success depends on our ability to continuously deliver value and make a difference for our customers. Our innovations address their needs in the areas of product differentiation, market growth, operational cost reduction and improvement of environmental footprint."
Focused on six key areas - technical services, processing solutions, marketing services, environment solutions, product portfolio, and for the first time, supply chain – each area will include examples that deliver real solutions and contribute to customers' business growth.
Demonstrations on the stand will also take a tasty turn with the sampling station through live cooking demonstrations by the two renowned chefs – Kaj Knudsen Culinary Advisor, Tetra Pak and Celebrity Chef Andy Campbell, from England. They will both demonstrate the convenient food packaging solutions that have transformed food preparation across the globe. One of the packages that will be profiled is Tetra Recart the first retortable carton package designed as an alternative to cans for shelf-stable prepared food.
With sustainability and environmental responsibility gaining importance across all industry sectors, Tetra Pak's Environmental Solutions are demonstrated across its services, from innovative new products such as bio-based caps to new energy and water saving technologies.
Recently Tetra Pak announced the launch of the new Marketing Services, a comprehensive program that helps brands fast-track food and beverage product innovation. A network of Customer Innovation Centres (CICs) is being developed to provide best locations for these activities, and the first of its kind in the region will be open during Gulfood Manufacturing in Dubai.
"Innovation at its best is created in collaboration rather than in isolation," said Zahid. "The new CIC provides an exceptional and effective environment to explore and collaborate with our customers on specific projects, to create new products that will deliver true value to their businesses and, ultimately to the industry. This is another illustration of "The Difference" that Tetra Pak has adopted across the board."
The show also provides an opportunity for Tetra Pak to host a series of seminars for its customers. The Tetra Pak Dairy Index seminar to present the latest results reported in the 2015 edition of this valuable and globally recognized report for the liquid milk industry; the Food Protection Technologies seminar will offer insights from Tetra Pak, as a total systems supplier and partner, in providing enhanced food protection; while the Tetra Pak Deeper in the Pyramid" workshop will highlight the market opportunities presented to deliver safe, healthy, nutritious and affordable products to the millions of consumers in low-income households, particularly in fast-growing emerging markets.
