JEDDAH — Elaf Group showed its might by burying the opposition with a blitzkrieg attack as it over-powered SCTC in their Category B2 encounter while Saudi Binladen Group's two entries in Category C outclassed their respective opponents.
In the Ladies Division Reem Riviera-Uricane continued its winning streak in Category HMX by steam-rolling past Al Baik-Ed team as the games proper of the 7th Al Baik Team Tennis Tournament 2015 closed its first week of the eliminations round in the sprawling courts of Trio Ranch Country Club in Jeddah.
Elaf Group had an almost perfect night as it ruled the roost against Saudia City Tennis Club team in the B2 Category. Starting the 1st set with an 8-4 win by Ronald Mercado and August Talavera against the tandem of Ruel Cuasay and Ernie Capito then grabbing the 2nd set singles with Cats Catalan winning over Michael Landrito at 8-4 to post a commanding 2-0 lead in the match.
In the third set Rey Tablang and Ricky Salazar Sr. shut the lights out on SCTC's Joel Sacal and Albert Ramires with an 8-4 win and a 3-0 match score to secure victory. In the fourth set Jun Atienza and Ed Umlas lost 1-8 to Ramil Abdua and Amin Paraji for a final match tally of 3-1 for Elaf team.
In Category C encounters, Saudi Binladen team's RPDTC-1 and RPDTC-2 were both successful in their games against separate opponents. RPDTC-1 was able to escape a hotly contested match against team ATP-Mon by a single point at 26-25 after the match ended 2-2.
SBG-RPDTC-1 took the 1st set as Leo Lagumay and Jun Delos Reyes scored an 8-1 win against Rom Magbuhos and Art Gipiga. This was followed by Joseph Eutaquio's 2nd set singles 8-6 win over Miller Narvais to banner a 2-0 lead for RPDTC-1.

But counting the all-important scores had the RPDTC-1 team leading at 26-25 to win the match.
