King Abdullah made a minor reshuffle in the Cabinet Tuesday. In royal orders read on the Saudi Television, the King relieved Fouad Bin Abdulsalam Al-Farsy of his post as Minister of Haj, replacing him by Bandar Bin Mohammed Al-Hajjar, Deputy Speaker of the Shoura Council. Al-Hajjar quit his Shoura Council post, which will now be held by Mohammed Bin Ameen Al-Jeffery. Planning and Economy Minister Khaled Al-Gosaibi was replaced by Mohammed Al-Jasser, who had served since February 2009 as Governor of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA), or the central bank. Fahd Al-Mubarak succeeded Jasser. The King also relieved the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Abdullah Zainel, and replaced him with Tawfeeq Bin Fouzan Al-Rabea, who was the Undersecretary for Industrial Affairs at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Mohammed Al-Fayez, who served as Civil Service Minister, was replaced by Abdullah Al-Barrak. Al-Barrak was assistant speaker of the Shoura Council. Deputy Minister of Education Faisal Bin Abdulrahman Al-Muammar was replaced by Khalid Bin Abdullah Al-Sabti. Al-Muammar will now hold the post of advisor to the King and Secretary General of King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue. Hamad Bin Mohammed Aal Al-Sheikh has been appointed Deputy Minister of Education for Boys Affairs, and Dr. Abdulrahman Bin Mohammed Al-Ibrahim as Governor of the Saline Water Conversion Corporation.
